With how often Naniwa has forfeited tournaments before they started before if he wasn't feeling 100%, I highly doubt the decision to come to Katowice was completely his own.

I'm not saying his actions weren't shitty, but this is just so pathetic you all saying 'he should of just given up or given his spot to someone else' there is every chance he believed he could of had a great first game and then rediscovered some of the passion (since I don't think it's tournaments as the reason why he doesnt want to play anymore).
Let's stop bullshitting here, you would all of done the same thing, even if you didn't care for the game anymore. I wouldn't have forfeited, but you better be damn sure I (and any remotely sportsmanlike person) would have played the series out fully. Playing one game, blaming the loss on something that everyone else says is a non-issue, and then forfeiting is bullshit. well it is just a game and his feelings and desires as a human being should come first. i don't think sitting there and playing more is more respectable if he was so upset that he trolled in chat during the game and tweeted from the booth. i understand what you're saying but if he knows he's not feeling good enough to play then no one benefits from him playing. i don't really care about Esports Honor(tm) or whatever, i just wish he hadn't been so rude and disrespectful

Let's stop bullshitting here, you would all of done the same thing, even if you didn't care for the game anymore. I would have gone to the tournament you are correct. But I would have at least played three fucking games. I would have NEVER forfeited or not tried to win in that situation. That's just bullshit and if he planned to do something like that he should have given up the spot.
Yea, he should of, and that's something he'll regret eventually, but come on, most of the people in this thread are being incredibly retarded, sitting there as if they have some kind of moral high-ground when there is no doubt that most would of done the same thing.
That bullshit is boring. He earned the place, it was his, that's it.

Ugh, I just realized I was at the NY Comic Con where Naniwa earned the seed to this event (plus WCS points). We in the crowd really pulled for him there, to see a foreigner to do well. Feels like a personal dis. What a waste.

The funniest thing in this thread ( minus the Naniwa dancing gif) is that there are people who really think the booth is the problem

That kind of awkward first series could mess with his whole mindset going into the next series. Nothing like winning a series in the Ro16 to start your momentum. Now he starts the Ro8 with no momentum. honestly I think its a good thing for polt. he doesnt revealed any of his builds for this tournament and might be less stressed in ro8. This momentum thing is only an invention of you footballheads in america, it doestn exist in reality :p Psh I've just started watching Football (the non American version) and I can see that momentum exists .
Also I think Polt doesn't have that many builds. Like the casters said he does a reaper opening into expansion in almost all of his tournament TvP's

If you want to be respected you have to respect others (and the competition) aswell. Otherwise stuff like this happens.

I don't think it was, if you look at his last 5 posts every one of them is bitching about the soundproofing of the booth. I think he is just a bitter Naniwa fan.
