Innovation was basically the ace for STX Soul and a rising star when BW ended so I'm not sure what you are talking about lol. BW results or career don't matter a lot in SC2... Ask Stork, Bisu or Flash lol You realize Stork and Bisu and even Flash are old veterans whose primes were PAST in BW right? Stork fell out sharply by 2012, Bisu was slightly slower, Flash was falling off the best player chart at the end too. What dominates now are the up and comers (soulkey, dear, bogus, zest, etc). Just compare Zero with Soulkey, Zero was the Ace and slowly falling, Soulkey was the new and comer. Same with STX and Dear + Bogus. Same with SKT with Rain, etc. Ok, you are right. I forgot Jangbi and Fantasy are the big guns in SC2 Jangbi is same time period as Stork, and he RETIRED after getting a Code S spot. Both of them spent much more time on BW than the rest of the group because they were in the last BW OSL. Well... I said BW doesn't matter for SC2, I gave you examples. You told me those examples are wrong because they were of the PAST. Then I give you examples of the best BW players at the end of BW and now the problem is they were too RECENT? I am sorry, so maybe I am right and BW results dont matter in SC2? Good job zero reading comprehension. I'm saying their careers translated to SC2. BW players who were up and comers generally did really well going into SC2, BW players who were already veterans and naturally were falling off didn't do so well or retired. Esports players have life spans, that's just the way of it. Boxer / July retired even earlier. You are full of contradictions thats what you are... Zest wasn't an up and comer. Neither was herO. Soulkey, Rain were as old of players as hydra. Sora left, Killer left. As many veterans as up and comers left SC2. BW != SC2 confirmed for 0 reading comprehension why? I think he was sarcastic or quoted the wrong guy.

It's an easy pass to the Ro4 though Fair enough, but then he'll have to face a Protoss that's actually good in the ro4. LifevP.... soO, Bbyong, Squirtle are the three players we can hope for him to face when he gets past Maru, whereas the other players will prove tougher opponents. At least San isn't in GSL.

Without any disrespect to Maru I'd say that the match-up favors Life a lot. His ZvT is still really good whereas Maru's has been periodically lackluster recently. Probably Life 3-1 Maru

Soulkey, Rain were as old of players as hydra. Sora left, Killer left. As many veterans as up and comers left SC2. BW != SC2 It's not a perfect algorithm but obviously players who were upcomers yet to reach their full potential either due to lack of a solid environment or age or experience would eventually over take the veterans who are getting older and mechanically less competitive. How is this difficult to understand. There are exceptions in some specific cases like Jaedong but they are few and far between. Is it that hard to admit that the link between the two games is not as strong as you imply? Is it that hard to admit that there is some correlation of PLAYER CAREER that isn't based on whether or not one game is better than the other?
From what I gather, He's not saying one game is better than the other.
He's saying that the 'crossover' was not as seamless as people assumed.
The way the game works is different, as such, the people who did well are different. Nothing to do with age/era etc.

I haven't said shit about whether one game is better then the other. The only thing I've said is skill in bw != skill in sc2. Aside from that I'm just pointing out blatant contradictions in your posting. Btw, bogus was playing back in 08, the same year as your lord and savior iirc

In general, that is correct, though I think if he just goes down to good old 4M, his micro will make Life actually fight for his prey. But afaik (not too sure though), Maru goes mech vs zerg quite often? Saw it vs Soulkey.
