Yea, I guess EU just has world class players and the Koreans didn't know what was coming for them. I mean such top players like forGG and Genius failing to advance.... I forsee a European player winning it all, and having a great shot in the Season finals. Europe is AMAZING at SC2! Europe holds!

There's no more Season finals. They would qualify for GSLs global championship though

This has happened historically in the past Ro32. In WCS EU 2013 season 2: 4/7 Koreans made it to Ro16 In WCS EU 2013 season 3: 6/9 Koreans made it to Ro16 Currently, it's 4/6 with 2 more to go. Small sample so doesn't mean much, but they've never shown super strong games and have shown weakness at the early stages. If you check the threads and battle reports and write-ups, the story is the same, EU hold cries in the early stages followed by sadness but happy that great games were showed. I think the whole Ro8 and onwards Korean domination makes us forget that EU did well in the earlier rounds and be surprised when EU does well again even though it has been happening each time. I don't know if it's latency, since WCS EU Season 2's Ro16 where it was played inhouse, the Koreans were looking weak. But for whatever reason they turned up the heat when the Ro8 came up.

I am sure lag plays a role as does Ro8 being more preparation based (although it might only be 1 day of preparation)
