Yeah, except the big difference is that, Protoss 'imbalance' are almost all map-related, whereas that wasn't the case with Zerg or Terran.


Terran imbalance was all about the small maps... that made 1/2 base play unstoppable.


I know right, so many people seem to forget that at the height of the 111 we had maps like Metalopolis, Xel'Naga Caverns and fucking Dual Sight in the tournament pools.


I still love maps such as Metalopolis and Shakuras :<

I remember when Ghosts were crazy OP and people were complaining about Marauders. Then 2012 was year of the Zerg and ZvZvZvZ every single tournament in the ladder half of the year after the queen buff, now Hots comes out and Toss is suddenly OP

Only blink is map related. Having a lot of options, all of which are very hard to scout + good transitions out of those options has nothing to do with maps.


Having a lot of options isn't "imbalance" it's fucking good design. We shouldn't be bitching about a race having a lot of options, we should be bitching that the other races don't have as many. Those are 2 very different things.
There are things known, and things unknown, and in-between are the doors.

Don't worry guys LR threads for any other sporting event are the same. Even ones just for one team are intolerable. Think of this thread as mashing all opposing fans together and making them hear everything the other side is saying. Not very surprising what it turns into most of the time.
