In that fight he barely had any mutalisks left, and had switched fully into corruptors. Phoenix get pooped on by corruptors in a straight up fight. In conjunction with the sick fungal that weakened all those phoenix, and the brood lords keeping the archons away from splashing the corruptors, he was able to wipe all the air and force a retreat. Yeah, but Jaedong did have ~10 mutalisks, meaning effectively he was 20 army supply behind. But I think Patience lost that fight because he didn't try to kite the corrupters/mutalisks which meant they had a lot more damage done to them, even without the fungals
Guys the real reason is this. Jaedong was behind in supply and should NOT have won that engagement head on. The crucial factor was that the corrupters and mutalisks were nowhere to be seen at the beginning of the fight. The fungals held Phoenix's off doing damage while NO damage was being dealt by them. If jaedongs air army had been in the fight during this time, all those Phoenix's would have had enough damage output to wipe him out. After fungal weakened them all severely, jaedongs air was then able to just come out on top.
It was all to that little delay. If you build up those two armies and mash them together at the same time, with the same fungals, Zerg would have lost. That's why it was hard to comprehend how Jaedong came out on top, because looking at it supply wise, he should not have.

Really loving ret's casting/analysis/whatever you call all this. Didn't think he'd be that great, but he is =D!
Way more well-spoken than I'd thought.

Man either way I am happy for the semi finals and finals. All of these players I like watching So hard to pick who I want to see win. I would be happy with Innovation, hero,JD,polt, or Rain winning.
But go Terrans!!!!!!!!!!!! we got our King back!

Jaedong was behind on drones all game; I think that the army supply difference wasn't that big.
