Olimoley (commonly known for being Axiom eSport's Assistant Manager) is hosting her own tournament right in the very building she manages - the Axiom Team House in South Korea. The invitational tournament consists of players who currently live in the Team House for a hefty prize pool of $100 and chicken wings for lunch.
Why Starbow? Due to WCS and other major tournaments, the guys did not want to showcase any strategies or builds they've been preparing. Instead they'd rather just give each other hell in a fun arcade mod they have fun playing.
No but really it would be supremely magnificent if the current sc2 scene transitioned over to Starbow. I love watching the game so much and will be reinstalling sc2 when 2.1 drops to play, something I haven't done in well over 18 months. Good work TB I love that you're getting your players/staff behind this, I give you the nerd nod.
I wish TB would've promoted Starbow and OneGoal in his clanwar league instead of Starbow and SC2:BW. The latter two are just so heavily redundant. Don't get me wrong, I think Starbow is pretty good, but I disagree with the hype that it's as good as BW or even as good as ZvT or TvT HotS.

The mentality of enjoying anything about SC2 wont garner you any friends around these parts...
This is awesome Thanks TB and Axiom for doing this! <3 I"m betting we will see Beastyqt, Nerchio, and possibly TTone or IdrA in it as well since they are all playing it.

You are welcome to run your own league, but my agenda is not your agenda
Olimoley saving esports appetites! After watching Crank stream Starbow a few times with some of the AxA boys and seeing how much fun they had with it I can't wait for this.
Calling a Ryung vs Impact final though with that prize pool I can see this being highly competitive, many fights will break out over those chicken wings I bet.
Woo! Surprising entrants, but great choices! I look forward to seeing them compete in Starbow. Never seen Alicia play it I believe, but saw MMA on Crank's stream, and he looked very impressive.
Those are perhaps the most charming photos I've seen of MMA and Alicia, nice job! Very much looking forward to seeing Alicia play, only one of the lineup I haven't seen play Starbow yet. Just Ryung and maybe TheSTC left to announce, unless Crank is playing and casting.
I think we're all missing the real point here. Olivia has the most adorable handle in eSports.
I mean, Olimoley? That's totes adorbs. Totes magoats adorbzzzzzzzzz in fact.
I think Axiom is probably the way of the future to be honest. Their players are great, maybe not the highest of the top tier, but they're fantastic players and can do well against the absolute best of the best. They have great team synergy which I think personally is more important than the individual skill (I personally think teamleagues are the way to garner interest in the pro scene). They're happy! That's a huge plus, they're always so upbeat. They do stuff that is fun and does not conform to anyone else's ideals...
I mean, you can disagree, I'm cool with that, and welcome the opinion that I'm wrong in my assessment, but I think Axiom is doing it right. They're appealing to the foreign crowd despite being an entirely Korean team, and I can only hope that other teams start to do similar things.
Thanks Genna and TB for the team, thanks Olimoley for co-managing things, and thanks to all the players and their friends and housemates that make Axiom a wonderfully fresh take on eSports. Thanks to all their sponsors (love my WASD), and thanks to Axiom supporters on TL and abroad. You do good stuff.

That's probably why people usually just call me Olivia
Once again I hope you guys will tune in on Sunday, Jan 26 10:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00). The last player will be Heart!
The tournament will feature a webcam facing the player's practice room so you can see all their reactions if they win (or lose). In addition, all the VODs will be uploaded on Youtube.
Oh did one player not want do participate? Initially there were 6 white pictures. Nonetheless, this looks like a very funny tournament and I'll certainly try to tune in for a few games, though the broadcast time isn't optimal for Europe but I guess there is always a place which has that problem.

Ryung is returning to his family house for Lunar New Year. We already have 3 Terrans, so I think we're pretty set. I'll be sure to try and include him for the next tournament I plan.
I am dustin hofman lead designer of starcraft 2 david kim sitting in my lap we are homosexual and we are waiting this SHIT mod to be very suck nobody play shit mod LOL !!!!!! SC2 rulez i heeard this shit units have no real COUNTER = means NO BRAIN needed for this game SC2 is a very good game because units have HARD COUNTER but it is no brain gg
MMA hasn't grasped the concept of high ground advantage yet, he could have won a couple of those engagements had he placed his tanks on high ground instead of putting them in the open, apart from that, great game.
I'm having so much fun watching this. Thank you casters!
Innovation made life so difficult in that last game. Why would he not micro his tanks back when the lurkers were burrowing? I think maybe he w a s playing a little lazy since he had such a lead.
Haha mutas just aren't as effective compared to bw even with the clumping. The reaction time for marines is too good and scvs can surround repair turrets too well. Nice try by Impact though.

3 hours of sleep yo. And even so, Innovation was a cut above, great games overall. Thanks a lot to Olivia and Axiom for the tournament, please give us more of these in the future

Thanks!
I thought the stream numbers were really good for starbow. It's definitely going to pick up steam.

Yeah, at this point in sbow's life, this was pretty good.
Well after watching the finals I have to re-consider how viable T Bio is vs Zerg. It's been a running assumption that mech is the best way to go but after seeing Innovation dismantle Impact twice . . . hmmm.
I'm glad to hear it went well. It was competing against watching Scarlett thrash a popular NA terran, so I didn't watch the stream myself, but I will be all over those VODs like a plague of locusts on a starving nation's only food source.
Thank you very much for the kind words and support. I'm already compiling the VODs for Totalbiscuit's YT Channel. Meanwhile we have left the Twitch VOD open for everyone to watch.

OMG this is awesome, thank you so much for the replays.

Who the hell cares about the replays? Can't wait for the vods to see the face of all the players who didn't get to eat the wings!!!

Innovation didn't even drop a map? Lol damnn
Bogus was a legit prospect back in BW, he was damn good. He beat JD once with one of the most evil builds I've ever seen. No surprise he would be good at SB.
Really cool tournament, if the axiom/acer guys are up for more I'll definitely watch. Don't care that it's not for a million dollars or a huge event, it's just fun to watch and Crank is hilarious.

They enjoy it. They've often said it reminds them of their Brood War days (most of the players were ex-BW pro players). Only Alicia was not an ex-BW player.

wow thanks for the input, and for organizing this: it was awesome!!
They weren't very good games to be honest, mostly the players not being informed and messing around. It's not like SC2 beta where people also didn't know what to do, but at least they took it very seriously and it was exciting to see the development. For starbow you don't even know whether there is any significance to any of the games at all.
