Happy 3-1 ABomB Strelok 3-2 FireCake HeroMarine 3-0 Starbuck NaNiwa 3-1 stakimaN
I love how stakimaN is crushing NaNiwa in the Heart poll despite i wager 90%+ of voters never having heard of stakimaN prior to his qualifiers run. I added to it.
I don't think Strelok vs FireCake will be as bad as people fear; Strelok is certainly a macro player but he typically doesn't turtle as much as MaNa or Goody. I think Strelok could do very well this season with the recent mech buffs. Strelok is really good with mech. Also as we have seen in PL recently, Swarm Hosts aren't as good against Terran mech as against Protoss (unless you're Maru and keep trying to advance unsieged tanks into waves of locusts).

Die4Ever, maybe I'm missing something, but shouldn't losing bring your chances of making Premier League top 16 down to 0.00% since if you lose you can't get into Premier League at all...? How come some of the players are still showing a slightly greater than 0% chance to get there even if they lose?

Holy shit can't wait for tonight :D

because you can qualify by getting points in other tournaments?

I love Starcraft and I know this is a stupid question but I have to ask. What is the whole WCS structure I mean the qualifiers and the whole challenger league?

Blizzard changed things around a bit for this year.Last year Challenger League structure was similar to Code A from the GSL.
This year, Challenger League is a single bo5, Winner goes to Premier League (Code S if you want), Loser falls to nothing(Code B).
Premier League is structured like Code S, 32 players, 2 group stages. Players that dont make top8 fall to Challenger and have to play a bo5 again. Players falling from Premier play the newly qualified players
Everyone that loses their Challenger match has to requalify. 24 spots per season are up for qualifiers.

Thank you very much. I've found this http://wcs.battle.net/sc2/en/about, so to sum it up (acording to the article) first there's the qualifier to find the best 16 to challenge the 'worst' 16 from the last premiere league after which the winning 16 get(back) to the premiere? The numbers are a little different from those that you've mentioned?

But it says chances for Season 1 to which there are no longer any season finals.

Wait, I'm really confused now. What happens to the top 16 in points for Season 1?

They're just in a good place to get top 16 for the end of the year and thus qualify for the global finals (Blizzcon). If I do probabilities for the full year it gets kinda weird cause it's so far in advance to look and anything can happen. Also there are no tournaments announced for season 2 and 3 besides the main WCS ones, so it'll be way off.

This new format results in pretty lopsided matches. At least they look this way on paper.
