I've always been impressed with minor things that Avilo adds to his play.

Like planting barracks in open spaces against ultras to create chokes. Even uncompleted, the Zerg will have to take a few swipes to get rid of them. And usually, Zergs don't micro their army and get caught up in the choke.

This is true but it's usually against weaker competition imo, he's gotta survive until the lategame for that to even come into play. But SimCity is a very underutilized skill in sc2 I feel like, and most of the time is overlooked. BroodWar there were so many little simcity tricks that could be used and was an important aspect of the game.
There are things known, and things unknown, and in-between are the doors.

Yeah, sim city is definitely a Terran strength that we don't see enough in pro games. Much like zerg creep when SC2 was new. I saw an Idra vs Mvp ladder game that Artosis casted, and Idra's creep spread was so lacking by today's standards. Once Zergs figured out that creep is fucking good, they use it to great effect.

If a Terran is maxed, and has plenty of production, then getting sim-city is better than banking up resources imo. Re-maxing is better for the other two races. So planting planetaries would be better - as it buys Terrans the needed time to remax.

That was some interesting banshee harass. Kind of target everything and fly around in circles without actually killing anything, then losing them to mutas. New meta in the making here.

ZG is excellent, she deserves a chance at bigger tournaments. I'd like to see her paired with one of the established casters.

Avilo is being tooled so badly. I've rarely seen a turtling terran with this many ravens lose so many units. Firecake is just completely superior.

How surprising, 3 bases loose to 10. If that was Avilos plan for the rest of the series he might consider re-thinking it

Avilo is just outclassed here. Can't believe his style works so well on NA ladder in the first place..

Well, he did fuck up with his two base two port banshee opening. Losing those banshees sucked hardcore, and he didn't scout well.
