So you're telling me if you happened upon a day when Maru was playing you would say former esf > Kespa teams?

It's the teams dude, not the players.

maru's success is clearly not a product of kespa

he's been stronger in jin air than prime so far, isn't he like 6-0? jin air is obviously a better atmosphere for him, he's being paid well and he can focus completely on the game now.

He won an OSL on Prime. Can't say that about Jin Air.

there haven't been any individual leagues since he joined, are you being serious?

Not particularly. I'm just being blunt and saying winning 6* games in PL doesn't mean he's stronger than he's ever been in Prime.

But PL is the most important tournament in the world, just ask the Power Rank guys.

(wait, are you the power rank guy?)

I dunno, with the team losing LG sponsor and their 2 LoL teams not doing well, they must be under huge financial stress. That is probably why they couldn't keep First, Yoda, LosirA who were their mainstay in team leagues along with Yongwha.

Well it kinda is when there is no other tournament going on, lol.
I mean - TY didn't qualify for Code A. Would anyone argue with him deserving the spot on January power rank?

It wasn't too greedy, he just managed to forget his templar archives. It's mindboggling how these "top protoss" forget things like this over and over again. If he had a couple of ht or archons he woulda just won the game with this silly strat.

Alright, now before we jump to silly conclusions. Misclicks happen to everybody. For all you know he clicked to make it with a probe and then misclicked the probe somewhere else, cancelling the process of building it

It shouldn't happen but it does. And not just to protoss players.

same here, but because I would get 2 anti-team points instead of 5 and Squirtle would win.

He didn't forget the templar; he just couldn't tech up because of Flash knocking on his door in every step. With your reasoning, you can also say that Hero forgot to hit the upgrades but that's also not the case. Flash's map presence in that game was amazing, killing off every single hidden pylons that Hero can use to counter attack Flash.

you can't say that at all lol, maru could have easily got the same 6-0 with prime

does it not stand to reason that being in a situation where you're being paid well and don't have to worry about the stress of financial issues will yield better practice and results?

no, maru clearly doesn't give fucks

see huk, he was payed better on EG and didn't have to worry about money... lol dodgin bad reasoning yo

EG doesn't work anything like jin air, coach park said it himself. a western player becoming complacent is not nearly the same situation as this.

There are all kinds of strange players out there. Stardust did much better on a foreign team than a Kespa team. Violet did much better solo than he ever did on MVP. Soulkey has been playing fairly lackluster since he joined SKT. Innovation has played exactly the same when he went from Soul to teamless to Acer. Jaedong was terrible on T8 but over the course of 8 months became one of the best Zerg players on EG.

Being on a good team is of course always a positive thing, but who is to say that was the reason Maru went 6-0 in PL as the main reason. No one disputes the fact that Kespa teams are specialized in PL and are by far the best in that tournament. But sometimes it's more complicated than that. Was Maru bad before he joined Jin Air? No, he got an OSL, three semi-finals in his last WCS event. But compare that to Soulkey. Both did well in WCS, both won tournaments last year, but Soulkey hasn't done nearly as well as you expect a former ACE player would, but you don't see people blaming his team for his mediocre results.

He clearly forgot it. I think HerO cut upgrades that he might have planned due to Flash's pressure, no Protoss goes into that stage of the game without a plan for some splash. His Robo looked reactive so I don't think he was trying to sneak out Collosus tech when he could.

Most esf players just want to join foreign teams / WCS EU/NA nowadays so these former esf teams end up with mostly 2nd tier players, no wonder they get trashed.

Omg, what went wrong? By looking at sheer roster strength I was convinced that we'd take this, and then this happens. I am disheartened, because it feels like we clearly didn't play to our full potential
But KT deserves all respect of course, gg guise

Why proleague not important? Is it because there is no individual championship?

But we should rate a player, based on performance, the player he is against. Not because he is not in individual tournament.
