He didnt get caught. You cant send your army down to the natural because protoss will blink in the main and those stalkers will finish off bunkers so quickly. You also don't have enough bio to split your forces.

Only way is to evacuate natural but than you are not really in that situation "if I defend, I win" as it should be.

2 rax + Medivacs > 3 rax without Medivacs. Mines are generally rather useless as they're stationary against a mobile attack.

Not getting caught by Time warp is impossible since the MSC has 14 sight range + you have only way to go from main to natural, the ramp.

That wouldn't change anything. He did right amount of bunkers, didn't underestimate the attack, he knew exactly what was going on. It is just that there is too much space to cover on star station.
