I know, but why take such risks? :/
Not to mention, that's two people I would have enjoyed to see in the Ro4 hitting each other.
Edit: AND, we need to expand that 5-0 vs Life record!

I mean... it's insanely strong, but especially Korean Zerg don't really seem to like it at all - and seeing Scarlett winning so many games thanks to them I don't really get why. Leenock and Soulkey use it quite often. In Leenock's case dating all the way back to 2011. But for the general case: They take a lot of attention and are quite unreliable. I think they'd be worth it for the mindgame alone. "Hey I'm burrowing banelings!" will force the Terrans to scan more for almost no cost at all. Exactly. Even if you don't get anything, you slow down pushes because terrans constantly have to scan in front of them while pushing. They already scan when they push. The real trick is to use them in counter attacks. They generally don't scan off creep. If you somehow got to put down banelings off creep against a Terran who made 6-8 hellions with 3 reapers without getting detected, I think you've already won the game. It's not that uncommon in the midgame to have a zerg player have his muta/ling/bane army on the terran's side of the map. How TvZ works is this: Hellions reapers come out take map control until the first push out. Then you either hold it off or you don't. At that point you can put down bane mines and set up counter attacks. In either case the only time forcing scans hurts the Terran is when they are sub 70 scvs or they are making out the first push. The biggest advantage of it is forcing them to constantly do it. TvZ is pure momentum, a lot of the time if you got your muta ling bane ball on their side of the map you've won. Of course burrow is great, but it isn't the easy mode answer like infestors were in WoL. | ||
