You have to get Hive to be able to upgrade to 3-3, and you usually need quite the secure lead to do that safely =)

yeah, obviously Life played shit and Taeja did not do no damage with reaper, hellion, banshee opening. His one drop wasn't a complete throw away and losing medivacs left and right when leading the charge is perfect gameplay.

Watching Life play ZvT is frustrating sometimes. Not as frustrating as it was pre-WM nerf but frustrating nonetheless. He would always get his hive much later and stays on ling bling ling muta forever. In this game I was trying to figure out his plan but couldn't. There was a 2-3 minute period where he could've gotten hive + upgrades (He was hovering 400-400 while still having banelings and infestors coming in). Why didn't he get his hive earlier? That map isn't so good to play a Scarlett style ZvT where you spread creep everywhere and rely on counter attacks to whittle down the terran's economy while staying on lair tech.

great game. Life played super well but you have to do huge damage at lair or go on to hive faster. He went to hive too late and made two crucial micro mistakes right at that point, move commanding his banes past taeja's army and hoving over the marines with the mutalisks too long. His decent advantage suddenly went to a slight disadvantage at that point exactly at the point where zerg is weak: T at 3-3 and Z still needing a minute or two to get there. At that point he probably should have sacced the 5th and taken the one down southwest.
Generally I don't like how life lingers on lair too long sometimes, he kills players in spots you shouldn't have but taeja defended properly here and life should have teched faster I think.
