comes from writing and talking on a regular basis really. If you don't want to be bothered in germany talk to people in english and they will try to avoid you 90% of the time.

School (will use sweden as a reference since I am from there)
You can pretty much talk to anyone 12years + here and if you keep it simple you can communicate with them in english. My 12year old brother watches Yogscast without subtitles and understand most etc.
And most popular programs are in English, with swedish subtitles like The Simpsons.
There are very few famous swedish singers that actually sings in swedish. Swedish songs sounds awful so they all sing in english. Which leads to younger people listening to english music at a very young age etc.
It just snowballs pretty fast

Sometimes you can double expand when you have map control. Like if you are containing with SH or have a muta ball. Roach hydra it is harder, because it makes you vulnerable, especially on Belshir.

No, in Bw it was common for zergs to expand to two different edges off the map, that way one of the was always safe from the main army and the other could be sacked without much thought..

Huh. That's kinda cool. So would these guys have "good English," for a regular European or is it because they grew up (or something similar) with gaming that they developed this skill? Because it feels like they (like 75 mentioned) didn't polish their skills from a teacher as they seem to use really... assimilated (not sure if that's the right word) English with a lot of properly placed slang or idioms.

On the EU language thing, especially the Scands/Finns it's having so much subtitled English TV as well. Also the structure of a lot of European languages show crossover too. Kinda helps, even me with my TRASH French can work out a fair bit of stuff
