It's basic economics people, you never let companies get monopolies in situations like this. No one chose to give Twitch a monopoly, they just provided the best service and still do. Frankly with the viewer numbers they still do way better than we would ever expect a few years ago. I remember streams going down and admins asking people to leave the stream page before they could restart the stream. I remember 240p (if lucky) broodwar streams where 50% of the games were buffer into gg. And this what at much smaller services. Yes it would be nice if twitch worked better, but they have done a better job than all competition.
Sure, of course streaming is better than it was back in BW, but that's expected with technological advancement. But today's streams feel like they are lagging a lot more than they were in back in 2012, and sometimes even 2011. And it seems like a consistent problem.
