Nice! I hope Maru can bounce back from a disappointing season 2 finals and win this!
|
not sure why its Has over Ian, and the lack of TooDming, but the lineup is sick!

Really interesting to see Moonglade get the invite, hope he does really well! Love watching him play, it would be great to see a big showing from him at this tourney.
|
xiaose is that really you? i love neotv! was really disappointed when marstv came in.
looking forward to you and joy!
|
haha these chinese tournaments and their ridiculous prize scaling. 10k for first, 2k for 2nd lol

HerO's statistics according to SWL: + Show Spoiler +![[image loading]](http://i988.photobucket.com/albums/af6/astray71/Hero_zps86ad677b.png) If someone could translate the Chinese, that would be awesome

Well the Korean and better Chinese player are going to advance from each group, apart from B where Sen will advance over XY.

Nice lineup, interesting invite choices but good overall. Glad the local scene in that area is getting some exposure via this.
And I absolutely love that octagon of statistics, tournaments should make a hex or octo for each player using their stats, that would be awesome!
|
Haha am I the only one who thinks this will be free money for HerO, parting, and/or Maru? Maru has a chance of doing damage or flopping Parting hasn't been amazing as of late but he is Parting, Hero should doing really well seeing as his form lately has been pretty great.
|
THat prize pool spread is pretty IMBA imo

Damn Moonglade, I don't think that group could've been any more intimidating. Best of luck to him.

I hate prize pools like this. Obviously they want 10K up top because it looks good, but this is seriously fucked if you come 2nd. A 5:1 ratio is isn't good.

Yeah that stage is dependent on points. If you read on you would see how it works. Getting 2-0 nets you 2 points, 1-1 nets 1, and 0-2 well I think you get the gist.
|
I'm excited for this if only to get to see some Chinese talent play and get some additional exposure. Should be an interesting watch.

The HerO vs Parting PvP that will inevitably be the final will make it even more coinflippy.

2-0 gets you 3 points. It's like a system used in football (soccer)

Jim's got this. I BELIEVE!

Great way to support their local scene with the structure of invites.
Other tourneys should take hints.
EDIT: I don't understand this: http://live.neotv.cn/live/pipe-24 (you can choose PPTV PPS FY YY TWITCH channle)
Aside from Twitch, I don't know what those terms mean. Who is casting it in english? What quality will it be streamed on?

No MMA to defend his crown..?

Nice! Will watch for this!

GO JIM AND MACSED

Sorry for not being able to provide an english stream yet guys, but ESLTaiwan should be casting this in about a week. Right now I'm having difficulties in setting up my desktop. This should be solved around monday or tuesday at the latest.

I thought this said "Star Wars" at first. :D Glad to see a tournament that Chinese players will attend for sure.

Going to be interesting to see iaguz again, he had some great games at IEM.
|

I did play out most of my games already and have to get a bit lucky to make it through (ie, beat hero at least once, have hero demolish the Chinese, have the chinese 1-1 each other) but thanks anyways!
Also, is that Teddy who was at ACL brisbane?

Also, is that Teddy who was at ACL brisbane? LOL,your nickname given by these chinese casters: Mountain King. Do you like it? Becasue they saw you at IEM SHANGHAI with a huge AXE~They love you so much. If you make it through to playoff please bring your axe and hammer Great Mountain King.

Gotta vote for the creator of the universe at all times realistically PartinG should win tho.

This is bad for the Chinese I think. Can only see 3-5 Chinese tops advancing. Will be interesting following this though. Really looking forward to it!

Nice line up! Jim and Maru in same group is cool! Hopefully China can have a nice tournament and show why they were at the (should of been at) the WCS season finals!

Felt unusually super nervous vs Hero for some reason, played really poor as a result. Felt I had ok-ish early games both games but started to fall apart and just do dumb shit for no reason. GG all the same.
I wish they did bo3's next time, bo2's seem like a really weird format. I do like the chinese turnout though, good to see them really getting into this whole Starcraft thing.

no one understands why they chose bo2 instead of bo3. btw, you are quite famous in china now, the casters refer you as the mountain king from wc3 or Mogul Kahn from dota, because one caster saw you took an axe out of your bag when you were in china for some tournament. XDD

The Grand Final is scheduled to Fri, Nov 1 06:00pm HKT(GMT+08:00, 11:00am CET) in Shanghai. This bo7's series between PartinG vs HerO is awesome.

:O I hope I'll remember this when it comes! Should be a micro-happy match!
