Well, I guess that is why EG-TL did poorly in Proleague, because their players focused on individual leagues. For people making excuses for Kespa players doing poorly, the same can be applied to EG-TL for Proleague.

Both are true. Except there aren't any PL games in a while.

Anyway, Rain deserved to lose that series he didn't play well and Taeja played really well, but it had nothing to do with this discussion. The discussion we were having was about Mass Viking/Ghost, because someone said "UltLate game is always protoss favored."

In my experience, Mass Viking/Ghost has no counters. Sure you can turtle up, but if you don't have the bases on your side of the map, then you're in trouble. And nukes force engagements and constant movement.

Just watch games like Flash vs PartinG on Daybreak, Happy vs HasuObs on Daybreak, Happy vs San on Star Station.

NaNiwa vs. ThorZain, Cloud Kingdom. I can quote games too.

Your argument is pointless. He said it has no counter, those games proof there is a counter. Yours just shows that the Terran can win with the composition so you miss the point.

Winning or losing a game is correlated to, but not caused by unit counters. This isn't rock-paper-scissors.

Stardust beat Jaedong with Immortals and Zealots versus Mutalisks during Dreamhack. I don't think anyone would argue that Immortals and Zealots counter Mutalisks. Stardust won because he outplayed Jaedong.

I'll admit I don't watch as much SC2 as I used to, and I'll check out those games. If they actually show pure Ghost/Viking used decently versus decent Protoss play with no major mistakes on either side, then I'll happy admit I'm totally wrong.

Thing is, pure Ghosts/Vikings doesn't exist in like 99,9999% of the games. It's not even optimal because past a certain Ghosts/Vikings count there's no point keeping massing expensive units instead of Marines (TaeJa still had 65 Marines). The only case of pure Ghosts/Vikings I saw at pro level was ByuN vs HerO on Daybreak. And perhaps he still had some Marines along, I don't remember.
