This tournament has been full of great games and you nitpick this to bitch about? not to mention that game was so high level its crazy, the micro required to move those armies around and have constant trades between storms and feedbacks to emps and snipes, it was a tense game.
Was it the most entertaining game? no but it sure as hell was one high level game.
some people watch sc2 just for that.

The protoss has to make sure to not to lose 3 colossi, get his nexi sniped over and over, then soft contained.
The orbitals were a result of taeja dominating rain. He completely outplayed him that game.

When you play so flawlessly you don't eat a single deadly storm for 20 minutes you deserve to win. uhh did you not read what i wrote?

People complain about sc2 not really being an "RTS" in the sense that there is no strategy
->people complain when strategy is actually the centerpiece of a game

In most games a protoss would just rebuild after that huge engagement. This time only Taeja was able to get his population to bounce back. Rain was on 60 Probes when entering lategame because he was already behind by midgame. Normally Protoss is on 70-75 probes with a much earlier fourth, allowing a Tempest transition, Cannons everywhere, much more harass, etc.

Anything that can move and detect is countered by Vikings and scans. Cloak handles the rest. Tempests, Observers following your Colossi. It also helps not to enter lategame massively behind; if people think 10 macro OCs 180 army size is the norm for each lategame TvP, they're fairly deluded. Tempests are terrible against Vikings.
In high numbers Tempests wreck Vikings. You need to get there first though

They'll be back when another Protoss win happens, don't worry. Did you guys watch the same game I did? Taeja was far far far far far far far far ahead all game long, but couldn't close it. Don't get me wrong, Rain did play superbly surviving for so long, but that game I'd argue T should rather be complaining about than P defending current TvP balance. Im not seeing a reason to complain when all that I see is Terrans beating Protoss and Protoss beating Terran. "couldn't close it" is probably also not necessarily accurate. Its more like TaeJa being okay with patiently waiting for the safest point to crush Rain at. No, because if you misstep trying to close it you can end like Alive.
Taeja could have had to misstep pretty fucking hard to lose that. Like, eat Storms like he was a fat kid at an ice cream buffet.

You've gotta be joking. That game was over for 20 minutes because Rain had terribly low economy. At one point he was on one base while Taeja was on 3 with tons of Orbitals behind. Rain played horrible and lost that game due to his stubbornness to actually expand. The sad part is that Taeja had to wait so long to kill Rain because of how ridiculously strong Protoss 200/200 army is in PvT. If anything, that game displayed how ridiculous Protoss is that it can live for 20 minutes on 1-2 bases against a massive Terran economy. I play Protoss, so no bias here. you mean the part where they didnt attack each other for those 20 minutes. and when they did, the toss army got rekt? Terran had 170 army supply, due to sacrificing his SCVs. It was ridiculous how far ahead Taeja was. You need bank and good economy in that situation to reinforce to finish off the Terran army. Not to mention time, so preferably engaging on the Terran's side of the map.

Those weren't the top tier kespa players. Also they interviewed Rain at the last mlg he was at, and he said fatigue and being not used to traveling is really hurting him.

see this is why having progamers (or former ones) as casters is so awesome. ToD can give so much insight into the mind of a top player in various psychological situations in a tournament and it's fucking beautiful.

Seeing very good starcraft compensate for the fact that it was a bit boring. this is boring to those not playing the game. But it is so intense to watch for a high tank scii player. The dancing is beautiful. you're tricking yourself into feeling elitist and happy. good trick Haha I am. And the feelings doesn't exist for many, and not just in Starcraft.
