The language of the stream is "English" not "American". ^^
IDRA CASTINGGGGGGGGGGG'
By the way, ty for adding my poll again.

You don't need a play-by-play caster to see what's going on. If I watch a football or hockey or UFC, they have a play by play guy and a colour guy. At certain points they add excitement to the cast when something fascinating is happening, but most of the time they're trying to add something to what the viewers are already seeing with their own eyes. They'll also try to explain the backgrounds of the players/fighters and their tendencies because most likely the average viewer is unaware of those things. Any E-sport can be cast in the exact same way. Like bo1b said constant awkward nerd screaming isn't 'adding colour' to the cast, it's just being socially awkward.

Please don't derail this into another one of those caster debates

The flag represents the language of the stream, which is english. So if you change the flag, you should change it to the english (not british) one.

Please don't derail this into another one of those caster debates I think giving props to Idra's, Khaldor's and Semmler's work and (if need be) explaining why it's better than that of many other productions is quite relevant to the thread. Anyway, 3 minutes till game time.

Can't say I'm really enjoying idra's casting though. His voice just doesn't sound nice, plus he seems to take the fun out of the games. Doing the casting equivalent of the premature gg I suppose. Haven't caught many games yesterday, but saw Taeja 2rax against Livezerg. When Livezerg didn't scout it and went with a late pool and extractor idra basically proclaimed it was over. However Livezerg ended up winning. The game didn't feel as fun to me though after it was already announced to be over. Only at the very end when it turned out that livezerg was actually winning it got interesting... Maybe I'm too much of a scrub to enjoy the analytical mind he brings. Yeah, as caster you cant say that game have ended too soon. 'too' is the important word there, calling that game was absolutely the right decision, as it absolutely should have been over. taeja is a good enough player, was in a good enough situation, and had enough information that he 100% should have won. he made a mistake in judgement and lost to a hail mary, it happens. it's much better to call a game you believe is over than to try to generate false enthusiasm or hype around a dead game. the titan vs goswser game was another that we said was 100% over well before it was done, it would have been silly to sit there trying to pretend it was salvageable on the offchance that goswser let him max and then threw away a couple armies, even though that technically could happen and was only slightly less likely than taeja not choosing to play safely vs a clear last ditch allin. its much better to acknowledge that the game is over and one of the players is going through his death animation while discussing what led to that situation and how it's going to lead into the next game.
Personally I disagree. Just because somebody "should" win, does not mean they will. Otherwise nobody would be able to win with black in chess. I don't think it was the right call in this case. Taeja made a mistake, but it was not a giant blunder like leaving a depot down or anything like that. Even Koreans make mistakes.. just say that he is in a very good spot instead.
Also,I think the time in between games and the start of the next game is usually plenty to discuss the effects of the previous game. It's a matter of taste though. Some watch to learn, but I think many also watch because they just love the excitement.
Would love to see you cast with Husky or TB some time

Actually I think I'd hate it if every caster was Australian. The aus accent is fucking horrible and should be outlawed. Especially in queensland

His accent is no where near as bad as it could be, and khaldors accent sounds pretty strong to me.
