It was 3 B teamers and Mvp though, not the real full IM lineup. the only upset was him beating Mvp in a bo1.
Really? So qxc == Korean B teamer? Not sure you'd have had many people give him that much credit at the time. Whether he deserved it or not. All kill was incredible and just as this last match very few people really thought it would happen.
of course it was incredible, however the poster I quoted said it was the biggest upset in sc2 and I'm disagreeing with that.
And the reasons I gave say you're reasons aren't very good. Hell Koreans even came up with a nickname for qxc after that. That alone means it wins I think.
If you think QXC taking bo1 games off of Dreamertt, ready and true then taking a bo1 off of Mvp is the same as taking a bo3 off of Life when the player in question isn't in any WCS and has not had any results since 2011...well.

For small audiences Incontrol is ok, but he just lack something when he has been on a big stage.
And what the hell, Soe? She just does the cute little arts and crafts stuff with SC2, and is lacking in pretty much everything else related to it.
i don't care, she's the most charming girl in e-sports by a long shot

Just picture yourself beating Life, Stardust and Jaedong to taking this win.
Keep calm and drop hellbats.
SjoW for the upset of the year! :D
Called it. Ha!
Wayback machine: the last time we got a foreign T into semifinals was 21st of April 2012, roughly 14 months ago. That was Thorzain@Dreamhack and he won the whole thing.
Btw the biggest upset is probably marineking vs fruitdealer, marineking was a name stealer who played the worst series in GSL2 against the best player in the world and reigning champ and he won 2-0 in style.

Just like banelings? Both banelings and widow mines force micro.
When the tier 1 Korean tried to fight 3-3 marines with mutas head on?
banelings require a lot more to use. widow mine is a shift click and set for game. never have to go back there. a bane mine you have to activate. and if you are talking about splitting required vs banes yeah but you can see them coming. widow mines just get left all over beccause they activate themselves
But you can morph 20 banelings at once. Mines once borrowed are stationary while banelings can chase after you on creep. Zergs also have lings to help surround. All Life needed was an overseer to clear the mines but he rushed to tried to finished the game. He also ran in with his lings and banes to Sjow's production with sim city instead of taking out the forth. If it was just mines being OP that made Life lose to Sjow's. Then Life would have a hard time vs any Korean Terran in GSL/OSL.
so going to have an overseer with every spawning group, ever? The mines are too easy to set all over the map. they dont need to move because they target themselves. sjow played well, life played bad, but life still should have cleaned him if not for the efficiency of mines. Ive said mines are too easy to use for their dmg since HOTS release. Just this shows it's some bs when 2nd tier foreigner can even claim a game off a Korean
The SAME 4 mines kill the reinforcements. life only needed to sweep the path once but he didn't do it. It wasn't like Sjow's had the production to replace the mines if they were killed. If mines are the only reason Life lost to Sjow. Shouldn't Korean TvZ be like 80% T favored?

Life won first game with just standard play, stopping sjow's aggression which had late upgrades. 2nd game Sjow won with a WM hit that killed like 10 or so blings(all the blings) and then sjow killed life's 4th, split well against a few blings and killed life. 3rd game cannot be described, just watch it!
