speaking of Parting, he seems to be going through a rough time in PvZ recently so idk if he would be favored against Life atm unless he gets his shit together. 2-8 in his last 10 PvZ with losses to Jaedong, Hoejja, Effort, and RorO

you have to beat Flash or innovation to be good? lol good is a very general and inaccurate word if you want to describe something like skill level. You could say anyone in GM is "good" but you could also say someone in masters is good.
