this final has sick potential. i just hope it lives up to it. the proleague match between the two was a nice appetizer.
Well to be frank, if we hadn't the proleague that gave us 2 appetizers for Inno vs soulkey (1-1 in macro games), I would say Innovation crushes. But if Soulkey "Symbolize" a bit his play, it should be pretty even. Because Soulkey is good enough in macro games to scare Inno and force him to be extra greedy, so that Soulkey all-ins should work better. I would really like to see Ragnarok's Baneling/roaches drop "all-in", because it looked f***ing scary, and having 1 or 2 tanks don't really help you (in contrast of a banelings speed/roaches all-in, where 1 or 2 tanks eliminate all the banelings).
But my fear is that the 2 proleagues games between the 2 are not the most accurate, because wirlwind is kinda a special map in the mappool
Edit: just looked up, it looks like it's 40-24 in Hots in favor of terran :D

Leenock was in fOu which was a BW team that was acquired by FXO. There's also a BW replay of Idra vs Leenock on Fighting Spirit. The replay pack is uploaded on this website and I am sure you can find it on here.
You can check liquipedia too for his bio.

fOu was a team that a lot of pro gamers came from before going to a Kespa team. However, Leenock never played for a Kespa team.

Really excited for this! Go innovation go! I feel that he deserves more recognition since he didn't get as much as SK did in BW so this is his chance. In his interview, he talked about this being his chance to finally grab a title and you can tell his heart is in it. I hope he takes it! Innovation for first HoTS GSL winner! :D

rooting for soulkey because I want to see a more equally matched series

Lol why do people even care about where players originated from? Digging into player histories to see if they've ever even been a part of a Kespa team, no matter how utterly unsuccessful and unnotable they were in BW? First we had the BW elitist sentiment of how all top BW players would simply mechanically dominate SC2 upon switching, and now that it's been seen that that hasn't been the case (top BW players like Bisu, Jaedong, Jangbi, and Fantasy are far from being top HotS players) we've moved all the way from that to simply trying to find any Kespa affiliation at all (no matter how trite) with a player's past to prove... what exactly? It just seems really pointless to me. It's like people have moved on from just cheering for either side to trying to prove that a player one side is actually a player for the other side. When it comes to that, it's time to ask yourself if it actually even matters anymore.

It wouldn't effect who I am cheering for, I already a big fan of Leenock and I will still be regardless of any Kespa affiliation.
Yeah, I agree. I'm a Squirtle fan and his Kespa affiliation changes none of that for me. Same with Parting. Huge fan when he was on ST, and still a huge fan when he moved to SKT1, not to mention SKT1 is one of my favorite teams so it all works out even more. The issue here isn't that people are curious about a player's pasts. The issue here is that people who I presume to be Kespa fans are now pointing out the minor, unnotable Kespa backgrounds of good ESF players as if it matters, because I'm sure that there have been plenty of unsuccessful ESF players with Kespa backgrounds as well.

@HolyArrow: I think this is just a bit of curiosity, no ulterior motive to worry about.
