I'll say Stars KT SKT Samsung
only way Samsung is getting into the playoffs is having a better record than of the 4 teams above them. no way they're going to catch up in win/loss differentials.
Bad decision by boxer. Why would you expose your 2nd best player to PvP roulette? I would understand if he sent Bisu, Brown or Paralyze but he should save Parting for Soulkey or Light.

I think he'll just assume the captain role like what Odin/Hoejja/Leta/Calm are doing.
Hyuk is already in that role
Also BeSt isn't that bad probably just lacking exposure in this newer environment? I think he has a decent ratio.
theres just too many better picks than him in SKT. So unless he makes it to individual league, I dont see BeSt being fielded more than once per round. Hell, even Bisu is longing for appearance
lol @ PartinG coming of age day. Fangirls surely doesnt miss a thing

They heard about my banners and that Bisu played games.

They could be marketing it better/free food drink/stuff or people are just enjoying the game more. It's nice tho ^_^

the environment doesn't make a player
indeed. Skill does.
Although skill is more likely to develop (and to a higher level) in a Korean pro-gaming house than in a foreign one.

I dont think neither Major or fenix's skill dramatically improved :/..

As far as I'm aware, Fenix wasn't in Korea all that long and has been back in his home country for quite a long time.

Dunno what's up with Major though.
People have always said it takes more than a few months for someone who moves to Korea to really benefit from the training.

This. It's also important to note that in the final battle, Parting had +2 done while free never upgraded past +1, making the battle even more one sided.

He's been like this for years now.
Of course he's been Code S level for a while now, but aside from the period he was dominating PvT with his storm flanks, Parting didn't impress me that much until about a month after his switch to SKT,

nah fantasy is in good form. He didnt defense well against DT but had the hellbats offset that, plus he sniped sOs' 3rd twice damn it too many things going on in this game O_O

That'll probably be the most fun to watch, shame the groups worked out the way they did though because an Innovation/Flash finals would be fucking glorious.

Yes, I think it's always the last game played.
does anyone know why the english casters just decided to stop talking during the playbacks? it's pretty awkward to watch o.o
There used to be (still are?) Korean interviews of the winning player during the playback and SNM would translate them but I think they weren't interesting enough or something.
One of my personal faves is the pic of Bisu's jaw dropping, as he sat in the audience watching the OSL final. I think it was Fantasy getting Jangbanged?

It was Best getting July'd.
I hate that one because it was just a normal bisu derp face, interpreted to be way more dramatic --

hmm I really don't like it when a commentator says that a game is dull.
Sure maybe not much is going on, but IT IS YOUR JOB, to try and make it entertaining by analysing the game, building some hype or even just doing a tastosis and talking about random stuff.
If a commentator of the actual game just sits there saying the game is dull then it is rather self fulfilling

meh, this is a fairly divisive topic I find, some people would rather casters be honest and straighforth and others want them to be hype machines regardless of context

Why can't the casters analyse what the players are doing and what potentially could happen?
Sitting there going "this game is dull" doesn't help anyone.

Wow, what a diverse unit composition from Rain. The 3 sentries executing the FF block at the natural was epic, considering he had to micro the rest of his army elsewhere.

it helps elitists like me :D
Lol fair enough,
I would agree that just hyping everything and screaming randomly is not a good commentary style either.
But I think you can calmly analyse the game and provide some value to the cast rather than just saying a game is boring.

Will it still be streamed? Or are they taking a week off.
Next week only Monday/Tuesday matches are played. The rest will be played over the first June weekend (which means it's gonna be a rough day for sOs/SoulKey if they makes to the GSL final)
I really wonder why WJS never let Light play He was pretty good in last round and has stellar TvP. I see ZerO/Light as a better line up than Flying/free (although free has been unquestionably beast this round).

well we don't see them in practic so i guess we can't make these claims. Light was a TvP beast last round i agree completely
Watching Rain play standard games gives me this peace of mind feeling, thinking "yeah, as long as I play just like that I can win every ladder game". Something to aspire.
My initial team was so much better, but of course we had to re-do them because the teams were worth zero. I still had a similar point spread on my top tier players but I didn't pick so many WS players. I believe I had Innovation, SK and PartinG. :/ In Winners League it's really smart to spread your base to practically all the good teams with stars (no pun intended lol).
That was a very good day of Proleague, I really enjoyed those games, and every matchup is currently interesting to watch for me (aside from ZvZ :D). Nice Starcraft

I agree, soulkey seemed to get cocky or something with his second attack. I much would have preferred seeing a 4th and 5th base at top left and bottom right and defensive nydus joining them together while playing a more defensive game.
edit: then again, the 5th match was pretty disappointing too, sos just rolled over and died
