if it was MLG's fault that Miya was late, then I can see how they think it's the fairest solution to let him in late
very complex issue!
perplexing that Genna would not take her player's side tho, giving your players near unconditional support publically is like a given in most sports. I feel like there's some info we are missing regarding the circumstances.
Maybe she realizes the stupidity of MLG's decision and wants the make the right choice. that's what I would do in her place. we really do need more people like her in esports
MLG's mistake was stupid, but the decision itself I think is pretty ambiguous and up for debate
A stupid mistake, but Miya does have a case for being in the winners bracket if MLG did mess up.
Lol so maybe the reason Jaedong is just sitting around is because they have 1 stream and they want to stream his games? all these games are the same round but they aren't being played at the same time because they want to stream them xD

yep just like last time when one of the chinese players got dq'ed and axslav was excited to see how well he could do but he had no idea about that.

The community is very anti-Korean now because of Blizzard. Maybe she just doesn't want the anger being misdirected at her player.
No, that can't be it. I don't think Axiom (or any reputable team) would screw over their own player in fear of xenophobia and racism.
Was Wiggin responsible for this miscommunication with Miya or was it another admin? Because he was also the same admin who misreported to the Chinese players that they were signed up and ready to play for the original WCS NA qualifiers...Probably shouldn't be in charge of these kinds of things anymore.

hhaha the mlg way to do things, don't you remember that axlav and axeltoss didnt know anything about the shitstorm that went on during the last qualifier?

When MLG can't make the right call more sensible people have to step up. Props to her.
Tbh I really don't agree with people here, that is to say one call was the right one. Here I am assuming that MLG admins told Miya the wrong time(and it wasn't his mistake at all), but if so you just have to decide who to fuck over, Miya or Moosegills, Sasq. and Demu. A terrible decision to make, but quite frankly I think the worst decision you can make is to let non-admin make it.
If they're going down the Comm route again, Miya should get DQed.
Well I mean I was against the Comm route. This time around MLG seems to be trying to fix the issue in the other way, I am sad that people were 100% that the Comm route was the wrong one and then when MLG does a 180° it is also the wrong one. The initial mistake was done, I personally out of two terrible options, the best one I feel is to give Miya the chance to get back in there(and note that I'm a huge Demu fan).
Why wont MLG just go ESL style 4-day qualifier tournament? If admin makes mistake then there is another tournament to play next day. Single elimination too.
After looking at that bracket i feel really bad for hendralisk. His path to qualifying was so difficult, beating a chinese pro and then center only to run into the best player in the tourney today.

He did not throw at all, he was playing fucking Taeja and got outplayed.
Hendralisk played well, Taeja played outstandingly.
Nope that was a nestea throw at its finest. That was an unloseable game after the initial ling bane bust. However, he just started trading really inefficiently and threw away units left and right, which are the ingredients for a nestea throw!
