I suppose, however you could also argue against that; an all-in like that relies quite a lot on micro (unit control / force fields), which is much harder with lag. I would say just playing a solid game and just out macro your opponent with superior mechanics should be easier with lag, as it relies less on micro.

But I think that he tried to make an excuse.

Valid point, though a macro game against a Zerg who is infamous for his muta play, dunno if that's all that much fun to face especially on that map. But the game was sort of over as soon as the first zerglings got in. He lost so many probes in the beginning and then the surround with the lings next to the third sealed the deal.

In the context of the first game, you are right, macro could be a bad option from a strategic point of view. But in general, you would think that with the lag it is easier to control the deathball than, for example, try to warp prism-immortal micro when going for all-in.

And verdi was the weakest of all Ro16 no disrespect and he beat gumhio godly TvZ after that. Hyun won against naniwa-yugi-oh MC Puzzle elfi and Ziktomini in group stage and was beaten by sage yesterday. Maybe not as strong as 6 month ago but he is still a very strong korean zerg.
