MOD NOTE: The bracket on Liquipedia is not final and should be assumed to be speculative. If you are a competitor, trust what MLG Admins tell you over the bracket. |

There were some silver linings! As we all know people will watch, it may even get 100k-120k once it hits the RO64. I have always said, you want to grow you need personalities (which Koreans DO bring) and foreigner stories. Hopefully the latter will occur. It is now up to US to make our dreams come true, if we want eSports to grow, WE need to be the friendly ones, shake the hands and kiss a baby, be personable and once we come to play we gotta have flash and style and bring home victories, tweet your life stories and make people care about you. Because, once two guys are in the booth, it isn't Blizzards fault you lost, its your own. We need to remember that and if NA players act entitled they won't get very far. This ain't the entitlement time any more. Put up or shut up. Actually do work, study who is in your bracket, find out tendencies, think of tactics, you can't outskill them? Try to metagame them, find anything that you can see as a weakness and play to that. Know a SC2 GM pro? Have him/her do Korean tactics on you until you can beat them. Do 20 games where he just does widow mine drops. Another 20 of hellbats, then 20 more Oracle harrass. Controlled practice and improve your multitasking. Then do the same to him or her. WE are the ones who will save eSports. By your behavior and your class, your promotion and character will get us 90% there. 5% will be sniping a few key Koreans, make them worried, use that home field advantage. You might start a steamroll effect. The next few % is where the NA FANS come in. Cheer extra loud for your players. Maybe they bore you because they don't have the same inhuman skills, still you can manner up and allow yourself to stoop down to their level, they share a passion you do and they dream about beating the players you idolize. Allow them a chance into your hearts, maybe if you "adopt" a NA player you can see they have much you have in common. Also, Twitch.tv chat, you can do better than this. Trolling isn't a sport. After awhile everyone acting as stupid as they can makes everyone stupid. Trolling would actually be being the only smart guy in the room. Talking shit about your players is classless. Heckling Incontrol was just embarrassing and TB has done so much for us and you still hate the guy. Maybe think before you type if you want to expand eSports and new people try out the chat, they aren't sickened by the display and decide this is a place they want to spend their time. A special message to casters: You do your best and I want you to know you are appreciated by 99% of us, fuck the haters. There are things you can change, do a little more research into your players, maybe interview them a bit pregame, bring us an idea about the drama thats unfolding. Find out what each game means a little more, not knowing the stakes gets boring. I am surprised if anyone read all this, but I just am inspired to make an essay. Thanks for hosting all of this. This kind of essay needs its own thread. Need more of this and less "koreans will destroy the NA scene." I see it making the scene stronger. If the koreans continue to practice on NA, then the bar has been raised on the highest level of play. I find it hilarious how the koreans are always being blamed for being good and tournament organizers for not banning or limiting koreans. Yet the ones that dont get the results, the NA or EU players are never blamed
That's just wrong on so many levels. As for the other guy if a Korean were to practice all day on the NA server it wouldn't necessarily make them better. In fact, I'd say it would have the reverse effect on the Korean player themselves (sure Violet will be an exception) where they pick up bad habits and their skill level will fluctuate. In order words, go down. They become diluted whereas the foreigners could gain some return out of it.

So where can I get all results? TL wiki seems to be still censoring valid information.... Thx.

+ Show Spoiler +Drunkenboi and Hwangsin lost? That makes me sad.
And no Chinese players is also sad.

FXODesrow really needs to stop complaining that he was playing and lost to Koreans. Ya MLG screwed up but if you look at the overall results, everyone lost to a Korean.

I thought EU got pretty good results?? EU had like 4 Koreans playing in it.

Anyone who's taking pot-shots at DeMusliM or thinks it's somehow "fair" that he didn't get an invite straight into the tournament should go look at the results. I think he's proved he absolutely should have had an invite, and now instead of having a decent non-Korean in the league we've got people who are going to get shat on by Koreans and lose every match.
What a joke, MLG. You seriously stuffed this up.
Demu, I was rooting for you, you made a heroic effort, and I hope you've proven to yourself as much as anyone that you are a true global contender. Don't give up, you'll get your big win this year I'm sure of it.

Well the only thing I can think of is he didn't really have MLG results? And his WCS stuff was played in Europe not NA, so he likely would have been code S in europe? But Demu was one of the few people who could beat koreans. I know a lot of us are very strong Demuslim fan boys/girls. But we all feel cheated... P.S they should have qualifiers like ESL if they wanted daily content lol.

I don't think that this one is mlg's fault it is only his level of skill that didn't qualify him for the na premier division.

Demuslim needs to be seriously hyped now. Going 4-4 in map score against your own proleague team which trains on the KR ladder under Coach Park just by practicing by the NA ladder or with the Western contingent of EG is pretty amazing.

What an ignorant and uninformed post. Demuslim lost 2-1 to Oz and Revival, and beat Jaedong 2-0. He was 1 map away from qualifying, and by his performance against the koreans, it only further solidifies the fact that he is much much more deserving of a spot in the Premier league than a lot of the NA invitees.

What?!?!?! Did they show the Jaedong/Demuslim games? I was wanting to watch that so bad and couldn't find it anywhere. According to Liquipedia it still needed to be played so I was hoping to catch it whenever it was live. Are there vods anywhere I can watch? I was so hyped for that series and apparently I completely missed out.

He is not North American, having a visa doesn't change your nationality, just allows you to stay in that country for longer periods of time and allows you to work in that country.
