MOD NOTE: The bracket on Liquipedia is not final and should be assumed to be speculative. If you are a competitor, trust what MLG Admins tell you over the bracket. |

I guess what I am saying is NA players need to get lucky to win most of the time, this system eliminates luck from the equation. EU was smart by making a first round BO1, this allowed EU to get some decent snipes and it saved valuable time.
If JD was elimmed out for example it would have saved so many players, OTP would have been saved and could have had an easier road to a spot.
Also this argument about Idra or Demuslim is dumb, if you replaced someone it would be State or something, why compare one dude with another who both get big time stream numbers? They BOTH deserve to move on. Not really. As elimenation or loser/winnersbrackets over mutiple days gives more then 1 chance for everybody. The difference between EU and NA is just that EU has better players basically. Just ask the korean protos if mech is viable in tvp Lol EU does have better players but that is not the difference. The difference is 4 koreans trying to qualify vs 20 koreans trying to qualify. Then there's the fact that these are far better Koreans in this qualifier and there is less latency. Thats why u bought demuslim, stephano etcetc... ofc.. u must be right What does that have to do with what I said? Everything! Absolutely nothing you mean. EG bought them because they are good popular foreigners. If they were Korean EG never would have bought them. If you think EU is actually competitive with Korea skill wise because of the EU qualifiers you are kind of dumb.
Ahhh so funny. As for the koreans that are attending WCS NA and EU, yes EU is competative. Look at rankings closely, only NA-player in top100 is scarlet and alot europeans. GLHF

Just a cursory glance at this list reveals it to be useless garbage.

Indeed, but i believe it does show that europeans could compete with the korean qualifiers for NA/EU

Well if you have 15 koreans in the top 16, it will be like Code B with same prize pool as GSL Code S.

damn 30 hours? Surely they had an opportunity for at least a 2hr nap sometime after GSTL? Seems silly to play a qualifier on such low sleep even if it is for additional practice.
w/e though Miya and Crank have made it far regardless

So apparently PhysicsLee used a drop hack in game 3 vs Duster and then reported the game as a win for him.
Can't win with map/production hacks so has to drop hack instead.

Both situations are terrible, WCS KR should have x2 as much prize money as NA/EU.

If EU didn't have so much lag for Koreans, it would be the same story there. EU might be better than NA, but it's not like they're better than Koreans. It's like saying high master players deserve the same prize as Korea, but low master players... what a tragedy it would be if they had the same fate. If Koreans are going to play in NA, at least have them be the best. What's the point of helping out second tier Koreans at the expense of foreign scenes.

Right, it is silly either way but that is a result of the way Blizzard designed WCS. The solution to the problem isn't to make it even dumber by making it a NA-only arena with a 100k prize pool.

The prize pools should have been structured in a way that didn't incentivize Koreans to invade the other regions and take their money.
