Battlecruisers much more resistant to ultra switches, yamato is better than seeker missile and BCs are good at stopping locusts without using energy.. Sure they are more expensive but the crucial thing in this stage is gas cost and 100m 200g doesn't differ so much from 400m 300g then, i rather have 2 battlecruisers than 3 ravens. | ||

In my opinion BC are very effective from a certain number. Skyhigh had no minerals, he would have had only 3-4 BC max. Ravens are more versatile and cost only gas : in a limited number they can do more damage than BC. I think that's why he built raven instead of BC. | ||

There is no follow up that could have won the game. I mean he definitely could have tried harder and done some fancy walling to make his tanks more cost effective vs the ultras but in the end it was like 120 supply terran with no economy vs 200 supply zerg that had 7k/3k. Also as a response to multiple other posts in this topic I don't think that game was mech being bad the game was really dictated by the blue flame opening failing. That is a very all-in strategy you have to do a lot of damage and he did pretty much the minimum possible amount. | ||

I can see the use for a few raven but that high amount is lousy imo. Battlecruisers can easily get 200 energy in these prolonged fights and yamato is much better than seeker missile for taking out broodlords from distance. It's even pretty good against corruptors. Mech play and zergs playing vs mech looks extremely rough still. So much more refinement possible in it: Terran needs to be dropping more and switch into air quicker, all the times I see terran meching they end up suiciding tanks eventually because they overinvested in ground army. Mixing in BCs with those ravens should be done more as you need air units that can handle the ultra switch, plus yamato is just quite good now. As for zerg, why not just a few vipers in that mix? It's great if you can get off a good blinding cloud when your locusts are moving in, even just for PFs it's a great spell. Having 1 or 2 vipers around for abduct is crucial though I think, sniping off tanks or saving your own units from seeker missile is so damn useful. I don't expect it to see too much though, bio just feels way superior at the moment but it would be nice to see it more in the future. I would like to see a small tank buff but have it's siege upgrade reinstated, so it becomes more interesting to go mech instead of just making tanks easy to splash. It's silly to have the most iconic unit in the game be upgrade-less somehow. | ||
