Also just in case you forgot or didn't know, Oz vs Terminator is an Unofficial World Champion Title Defense match. Terminator is the current world champion after defeating Panic who defeated Bear in the WCS Korea qualifiers.

I'm hoping 4-1 EG-TL, but I'm kinda concerned about Alive's match and Oz's. Alive's got good TvT,but I think TY's TvT winrate is pretty strong as well. Oz used to be boss at all things PvP, but I'm pretty sure he's not God anymore at it. Also, while Terminator's PvP isn't actually good anyways, it's just such a coinflip match :\.
JYP's vZ always impresses, Hero's pretty good at vZ as well.
If this goes 3-2 in EG-TLs favor (I think this'll happen if Alive loses his match against TY) and last match is Zenio vs Cure, then we're getting an ace match (I'm pretty confident Zenio will lose to Cure if they had to play).
I think ace will be JYP vs TRUE, True's the only person on Team 8 that doesn't suck vs. Protoss and EGTL's lineup is mostly Protoss anyways. I think JYP as ace because Coach Park will most likely expect Team 8 to think about the most probable ace (why put JD in when most of Team 8 is good vs Z, and Zenio is kinda bad except at ZvZ). Alive is probably not gonna be the ace, half their team is good vs T and the other half sucks, the best move would be P because only one player is actually good vP.
I don't think it'll be Oz or Hero, Hero because he was the ace last time so it's a lot of pressure for one guy to always be ace. Not Oz, because he's like a conflip in PvZ.
I think if Oz and Alive lose their matches, it's gonna be GG and Team 8 will have won (JD and Zenio will lose most likely as well).

Seriously such a pain knowing that there are good games to be had, but having paid $5 (not an issue per say, but it's still paid service) and never being able to watch anything over 480p without lag is such a disappointment. I know my connection is not a problem, as I can stream several 1080p videos and DL @ speeds around 10MB/s...

I think GSL having better English casters is more notable, especially from the perspective of SC2's foreigner audience.
This is going to be interesting to see if EG-TL can actually become a consistent winning team. They definitely have the roster to take out Team 8 tonight.

I'm a Zerg player and I have a lot of luck going Muta's against Protoss lately. The biggest trouble I have is when they truly turtle up with canons and tech up to templar/stargate. It definitely seems harder on the Protoss at that stage to know when to take a 4th and stay even with the Zerg. If Muta's are the bane of your existence then definitely open up with phoenixes and keep on scouting for that spire!

throw down 2 stargates when you see mutas, archons and storms do nothing now since they are faster and regenerate too fast, however with 2 stargates they can just make corruptors to tank the damage so the choice is yours.

Definitely need templars to support your Stargate army at some stage though or else Zerg will be able to take advantage of you not having much splash.

Thats 100% not true. Pretty sure it just costs a lot of money in order to enter into proleague. Not to mention why would any ESF team try to play in proleague when they have GSTL? I was thinking the same thing. If Jaehoon ever left his base to apply 4 gate with +1 pressure (which was out of the question because of gate expand, but you get the idea), he was going to notice and most likely kill it. It was a very strange thing to do.

Yeah I feel like 2 base openings still don't work against Protoss (unless they go one base for some reason) simply because of the forcefield and lack of cost efficient units for Zerg in the early game.
I've been analyzing a lot of replays recently and even the games where it looks like the Zerg absolutely annihilates the Protoss, the units lost tab (when looking at resources) is very similar between Zerg and Protoss. This is why you have to be a healthy base ahead of a Protoss at all times or you just can't take a fight until you have Mutas all over the place or a late game army.
Whenever I watch JD in non mirror, he always fails me lol. So helplessly running around the map with no plan, no transition and no idea how to engage either. He just head banging into the brick wall till eventually his opponent stabilize and counter.

Don't know if you can call it calculated. If he didn't go stargate he would've attacked earlier and crushed him. No reinforcements is kind of a huge deal with that middlebase. A robo opener is often more aggressive early, while stargate is more harassbased. He did wonders with it for sure, but don't think it could've looked much different in that game.

His strategy just didn't really do wonders for him.
Taking a risky 3rd on a map that is impossible for Protoss to take a 3rd on is pretty hilarious. Forcing him to all in you when you can't defend is a brilliant strat.

Again, it seems to me like he had a build planned just banking on the toss going FFE, which would delay any push/scouting enough that he could have the middle established. I don't really find it far fetched that with speed he could deny scouting for a good while. Still find it a bit of a silly risk to take, esp. when he scouted the gateway expand.

I disagree, I think Oz has a much worse chance of victory than JYP, but I think they need both to win, which is quite the uphill battle.

He took huge damage from the phoenixes, around 20 drones + queens and loads of reinforcements aswell, that's the reason he lost. It was a huge risk with a small reward aswell. Like someone said, the timing window to benefit from increased mineral income is really small. I guess he thought he had no chance in straight up so he tried this.

Well he is just really fucking bad vs Protoss. He is a beast vs Zerg and we have no clue about his ZvT right now because he hasn't gotten one yet (we can assume it is not great).
Overall he seems like a weak player, its too bad Stephano had to go .
Players who have a strong skill base but lack refinement are the worst players to bench. I mean, look at Rain. Back in Brood War a ton of people were calling for him to stop playing after he had a really long loss streak because he didn't know how to end a game. He's one of the best players around now.

People aren't ever confident in JYP. He was one of their top 3 performers during WoL in Proleague. His winrate is better than HerO's. Go back and look at his victories in Proleague and you will be really surprised.

Then his calculation is pretty off. There is no way that jaehoon would not have scouted that. It's crossmap and stargate openers are common. Plus, if jaedong was planning a timing attack with the high resource yield of that third, the window of opportunity is very small. Miss that window, and his third is gone and he'd probably lose the game.
Again, it seems to me like he had a build planned just banking on the toss going FFE, which would delay any push/scouting enough that he could have the middle established. I don't really find it far fetched that with speed he could deny scouting for a good while. Still find it a bit of a silly risk to take, esp. when he scouted the gateway expand.
I don't think JD is comfortable enough vs P to improvise on the fly. I think he felt sticking to his build would give him the best chance, but the phoenix really messed him up.

For Stargate tech, all P's I've seen rally it to the a phoenix in the group. In that case, it would be impossible for Argo to not scout the center.

Wonder when Zergs will start to spam Queens alongside Hydras. Basically doubles your production in the first minute of the fight, no way for a Protoss to deal with it effectively on 2 base against 3. And attacking just needs a 100/100 upgrade.
But who cares Zergs are slow in those things, now its a TvT on Akilon, if it doesn't end fast it will take ages.

Of course, I was just presuming that Jaehoon was going to come out unconditionally (kind of like Flash in every match).
An important point in TvT mech vs bio is that bio seems to be getting faster upgrades, so there's always a window where the bio will be 2-2 vs 1-1 or 3-3 vs 2-2, but Alive made a big mistake, he forgot to get an armory in time so for like 30-35 seconds he couldnt go for 2-2.

These casters are morons. I am sorry, but it hurts. The reason those marauders didnt do much damage was the raven PDD. Not the massive amount of siege tanks. And Alive's drop did a ton of damage. "Alive looks really bad right now" while he is up in supply. Ugh
Going after that PF on the left side of the map lost him the game. If only he had more medivacs. Either way, EGTL can still pull this together. We've seen plenty of matches turn around from this position.

Baby's TvT composition is really scary. Main army of hellbat, tanks, thors, vikings and ravens. Constant harass with hellbat. I think this army is just superior to MMM, widow mine + bankshee/viking.

yeah I really liked the early ravens too. It gurantees the other guy will unsiege to avoid seeker missiles, while you lose nothing. TY's unit composition that game is how mech is meant to be played in tvt.

alive was the underdog here, and imo he displayed more skill throughout the game then ty/baby, he lost that game in a 30 second time frame because of 2 hellbats, the other 15 minutes he arguablly played better than ty, and almost made a comeback happen that should have been impossible in the situation he was in
first 2 matches were kinda wish washy, but EG-TL is still playing much better than they have, coach park is making improvements
once alive gets more time in the teamhouse i think he could become amazing, his potential seems so high

Oh good points, yeah actually that may have been the best Mech I have seen in awhile, really liked incorporating the Ravens to eliminate tanks and providing vision it should be in all mech comps and using just the right amount of Thors as meatshields and for a bit of anti-medivac play.

I think Stephano is pretty solid. His record wasn't phenomenal granted, but I'd say he kept up and was able to put up a fight at least.

I dont even know what to really say except they all just looked so out classed in each game. Some could argue alive had the best showing but he still lost in the end but the other 3 man o man was that painful to watch.

They need to put in the Halftime 15min breaks from other sports, if Coach Park could get his players off tilt they may have done much better.

I wouldn't call it crushed, he just didn't make the right decisions. That game could have gone either way.
If he just had 1 probe with his army, he would have won i think.
If cannons were up sooner, if he left more defense back, if he took probes in the warp prism. He definitely had chances, but if you just can't lose your probes against mutas in a base trade or it's over. It's really tough in general, and I think he just got caught off guard, since he didn't know about the mutas til he was across the map.
EG-TL has a lack of solid players. Most of the won games from everyone in EG-TL except Taeja before his injury were shaky lucky wins. Alive is looking to take on the part but we haven't really seen enough games from him yet. I think the odds are stacked against Coach Park. No amount of miracle working will help a slightly less skilled team.

Yeah I agree.
If the players themselves are saying things are better (Taeja for example), then things must be going better. One loss isn't a big deal. Unless the team goes on a loser streak again, then we'll worry. Right now, we'll just have to wait and see (but again, at least from what players have said, the training/practicing has been organized better at the least, so the question is how much will they improve from Coach Park?).
One loss is still acceptable and if you ignore map points (which only matter in ties), EGTL isn't far behind.

I feel you there. Jaedongs zvz is amazing and his zvt looks really good (from his stream haven't seen official matches in hots yet) but his zvp is just... Yeah it's pretty bad.
I gave him the benefit of the doubt in his proleague games because he got cannon rushed in 1 and we all know how that can throw off your game and in his first game he got 7 gated and held until his warren finished but a little sloppy win due to him forcing the base trade
But this one and from his stream he really needs to work on that zvp.
But the people saying jaedong is awful because his zvp isn't that good jesus christ being bad at 1 mu doesn't = awful or losing twice in a row doesn't = awful or flash would be considered awful considering he's on a 3 game losing streak right now.

Oh whoops. Well who else on EG-TL can play in Proleague that is actually a strong player? Hero definitely isn't imo, but he's the best Liquid has to offer right now. Unless they send TLO or Ret or Sheth over for them to train and stuff, but Dreamhack is coming up so I highly doubt that will happen. Snute I can't comment because I don't know much about him.
Right now, I feel it's more like EG carrying EG-TL, and even then EG-TL is getting destroyed.

You can say that for every SC2 game lol. The mechanics are so easy compared to BW that every game comes down to small decisions or build order strategy.
coach park said in an interview he isnt sending players out to win yet and sending them out to get a good feel of how they play and was surprised they won the last 2 matchs so actually things are still going better then Park expected still

Alive and Jaedong given more time look look like their potential and skill caps are extremely high, they just need to get there. Coach park is helping imo, it just takes time. Nobody should expect them to florish this season, it's just illogical. And i wouldn't call hero/zenio or a few of the others lesser than any of the other midtier players in other teams lineups.

What mouse/keyboard you use probably won't make much of a difference. Also, "ergonomic" doesn't really mean anything because different things work for different people.
The most important thing is your overall setup with desk/monitor/mouse/keyboard location. Then stretching/exercising help. Some people are more prone to pain/injury though.

I'm on the coach Park bandwagon but it's looking more and more true that EG-TL just doesnt have the talent to compete. Losing Taeja and Stephano is just insurmountable. It's like if you imagine KT losing Flash and Stats. There just isn't much talent left over. Alive will probably be a great addition and will assume the role of ace, but everyone else will be hit or miss at best.

My keyboard and mouse are next to each other. My chair's arm rest is perfectly parallel to my keyboard, so my arm isn't pointed up or down as I touch the keyboard when I game. Only problem is that I have to shift my chair move over to the left a bit when I play SC2 because of the small keyboard tray, which cannot accompany both a keyboard and mouse.

EG-TL didn't lose Stephano. He just gave up. He had his reasons of course, but I think he should have tried more and learn under Coach Park. I don't hate the guy, but his work ethics can certainly improve. I love how Scarlett is willing to give it a try right now.

To be fair both Stephano and TaeJa didnt deliver in their games either, less so Stephano who said himself he feels uncomfortable in Korea so wouldnt be a great help now.
Hope TaeJa returns to the team though, a Summer of TaeJa could still add some glance of hope to them

The best thing EGTL can do these days is put out a lineup where every player is close to a 50-50 chance of winning. If they do that, they will be fairly competitive, and I think they were able to do that today. But no matter what the odds are going to be thin, and some games are just going to go the wrong way.

In some of his recent tweets he does mention that he misses S.Korea though. Is that just him being a jerk or true..we may not know? It seems as though him and JD are pretty good buddies because whenever Stephano tweets JD responds.
Maybe EGTL on a high these past two wins and thought they could carry keep carrying the momentum. Maybe Team8 went in with less pressure on their shoulders.

Well I play Terran at masters and feel nothing in my wrists. It's not a common issue but apparently it affects a few people.
Wow poor EG-TL, got 0-4ed and barely has a day to prepare for their next match, while KT most likely spent the whole day today preparing for them. I think this is the only case this round where a team plays 2 matches in 2 consecutive days.

Honestly, EGTL barely squeezed out two 4-3 wins, expecting them to continue winning was unreasonable. Despite being 2-1, their match record is now 8-10 in Round 4.
