Why do so many people like Bisu? I know he has lots of fans from the Brood war days, but like, shouldn't Jaedong have lots of fans too then? He achieved more in SC2 than Bisu, and people don't seem to cheer for the BW legends very much from what I've seen anyways.

Speaking for myself only I already have a high confidence in Jaedongs abilities and he has had some noteworthy success where Bisu has the ability but hasn't put it together so I show him big support in the hopes he can catch up with the other TBLS members in terms of results.

.. What? JD hasn't really accomplished anything yet in SC2. His record is much better than Bisu's in PL and I don't count an eight man invitational where it's your sponsors bringing you in to have much merit at all. To me JD still has a loooooooong way to go. Bisu has a much longer road ahead. The reason why you don't see it is because there's so many newer guys to Starcraft they just don't understand the history or appreciate it as much. In either case I'd say both JD and Bisu still have a ton to prove when it comes to SC2.

Since he beat savior, the Bisu-fans never stopped going on about him. And seemingly never will, even though JD is, and always has been, at least ten times cooler than Bisu ever will be.

Cos Bisu is the king of Protoss (best race), facial aesthetics, looking good in leather, Proleague ace matches (sup Flash), and just life in general.

pretty sure if Bisu got to play SPL, his result would have been equal to that of JD

No bisu did play in SPL and lost like all his matches for a long time. He went on like a 7 game losing streak before finally getting a victory. There is a reason the stopped fielding him .

Apparently you can bet real money on this, which sort of surprises me given that it's a less-than-serious showmatch.... but you can bet on the NFL Pro Bowl too, so I guess that's not a huge obstacle. Right now TBLS are decent favorites, which sort of surprises me actually...

I have never even heard that term in the great amount of time ive spent on this forum. Team all kill if it makes you happy. Each of the 4 winning their match.

he went like 1-2 in Round 1 and stopped playing
He was on losing streak of 6
thats ancient history sir (even if you count the franken SPL, Bisu was actually on winning streak toward the end)
I just turned in. Why were they using take command in the replay instead of recover game? Edit: Seems like they are replaying the Flash vs roro game but Jaedong plays as roro?

Yeah that was silly. If they wanted to do a flash vs jaedong have it be a normal game. hard to play from another players perspective lol. They also resumed in a bad spot to for jaedong how silly wish they had done an actual show match.
Flash's upgrades that game were insanely fast, or perhaps Zero's midgame was just delayed by too much because of his baneling aggression. By the time he got mutas out flash's upgrades were too good for them to be effective.
i want to make a post about one of the girl's in the audience but i don't think that kind of post would be received very kindly by the trigger happy SC2 LR mods :<
The problem with that game was the fact that Flash was great and ZerO lost a lot of steam after the first banebust attempt. The second lingbling runby was a good one, but he needed like atleast one more of those. Too bad Flash sent units in both directions.
All hail the almighty MIND CAT, lol. (Shouldn't have opened twitch chat..)
Flash defended that pretty easily, I wonder if Life would still beat him or he already practiced enough against it and will not lose to it ever again..

He made the big mistake of attacking the natural instead of the third base. If you attack natural you have to go for the kill, but he already lost too many units by the time he got there. Third base you guarantee that you kill off all those scvs,

Yeah Bisu only won because the Nexus cannon is completely imbalanced and flipped a coin on whether or not his opponent would have an opposing imbalanced spell.

Imbalance in a mirror matchup o_O
I believe that's called defenders advantage lol.
It's not an imbalance, but it can still be overpowered.
These commentators are very BW-like, in other words, they don't know much but are not afraid of giving their opinions/predictions to a (supposedly) equally uninformed crowd.
But someone should tell them that it isn't BW anymore, and that they should raise their standards. Most people watching the stream now actually "get" high-level Starcraft 2, at least to a far higher degree than them.

It's not even that but it also is one of the few ways protoss can deal with turbovac harass without committing to air. The nexus cannon overall is nothing but good to the game, so i have a very hard time understanding why people dislike it >_>

So why even listen if you are so high level? and understand everything?.
yeah and the BW stuff u are talking about is total nonsense rofl.
Can we stop discussing this matter. Casters are NOT Tastosis or Apollo+anyone. Don't like 'em, don't listen. That being said, I'd like to see SNM+Apollo. For the fun of it.

It's a lot more hated early game. No way real way to punish Protoss for investing money in oracles and a stargate (which wouldn't contribute anything past killing scvs at the start). What would require 5 sentries to defend an early attack only requires the MSC and maybe 2 sentries at most after the Protoss player has already killed however many SCVs.
It's not like missile turrets or photon cannons. MSC contributes good powerful spells throughout the game so you will always have them. MSC is good for harassment in the early game and scouting. Photon overcharge doesn't actually cost anything to the Protoss besides mana on the MSC that they're already going to have. Imagine if a Terran player could drop down a temporary missile turret like a mule to deal with an oracle harass. It practically costs nothing, let's you get away with a lot greedier tech, it's available for practically all attacks possible and it's not static defense at all.
And this is just talking about the implications the MSC has in a build order and resource management. What photon overcharge actually does is in my opinion wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too strong, just because you can't actually kill probes unless you overkill with your entire army by shift queing (the ai will target the nexus only, and even if you hold position half your units will attack the nexus anyways). Not to mention that fucking range and time duration.
I would be a lot more okay with the spell if it used chronoboost on a nexus for time duration. Would be a lot more reasonable than having to wait a full minute each time it's cast or having to wait another minute when he casts again by the end of the first spell.

I think Soulkey got to choose who he wanted to face first(?). Commentators said something along the lines of 'looks like he wants to get the worst out of the way first'. Well, it didn't work :p
I can't believe this is the first time I've heard of this... People used to joke around back in the days about what would happen with a Taekbang Leessang team. I'm gonna have to look through all the VODs now.
Yeeeeah Bisu! I do not get why he hasn't been playing anyways when he is certainly not the worst of the kespa players and after the hybrid league he was able to beat roro. I bet the lack of play time has done more damage to his confidence and motivation than anything.
