I am really hoping for Life to win. I love MC, but his oracle/phoenix PvT style isn't as much fun to watch as a macro game. I want more epic Flash macro!!!

That is what BW guys have been wanting since day 1, for SC2 to be on par or surpass it. My wishlist still includes more highground advantage and better mining rate scaling to encourage even more bases. Were you around when SC2 was first announced?

BW fans hate SC2 not because it is not BW, but because it was such an undeserving game of being called BW's sequel. The hate is the result of utter disappointment. Blizzard's policies afterwards fueled the fire, but it was not what started it.

HotS is a step on the right direction, in a I told you so way, by making units behave more like BW.

Now what about proper tanks, vultures and goliaths?

Just because the Viper casts a Dark Swarm esque spell, Mutas are faster, and widow mines are similar to spider mines, doesn't mean they path or behave anything like their BW counterparts. So tired of these comparisons... let's just enjoy the games :D

Too bad this tournament have stream problems, so much lag sometimes. A lot more this day than previous days. Watching twitch streams is a lottery, sometimes its supersmooth sometimes its just lagfest..

Not it actually doesn't. I can be a fan of someone meaning I cheer for him and still determine what I see in his play and the skills he has. Flash has shown superior mechanics to basically anyone, even BoguS in his tournament run. While MC had very good series and rapes against Bomber, Bomber neither did show gamesense nor good mechanics in his games. He was completely owned by the Phoenix build which to be honest is not all that new. We had it in WOL with the only difference being the oracle.

I am not discrediting Bomber in terms of being a good player but that series was beyond bad from him and very well planned by MC. Flash showed brilliant scouting patterns vs PartinG, spotting cheese 2/2 times , defending only once and correcting his mistake the other time. He was prepared for possible cheese in all games though.

MC was more impressive against MVP, because he was the superior opponent but yet again Flash also looked very hot against PartinG who is incredibly good in PvT while he didn't adapt as well to HOTS as MC did. We will see, but whoever thinks MC ownes the hell out of Flash is probably going to have a big suprise.

LoL just has more net players across all streams right now.

It's also because LoL just has more streams overall. If at any given day LoL has, say 60k viewers, dota 2 40k, SC2 30k, LoL has like 900 streamers, and SC2 and Dota 2 around 200.

That definitely isn't just it. Voyboy was getting like 48k viewers watching him play solo queue.


I generally see him at around 30k.

Yeah I know, what I mean is LoL has a bigger "stream culture" around it. Even total noobs and newcomers stream and/or watch streams, which is why you have so many streamers.

In Dota and SC2 basically MLG and the likes and pros get the viewers and actually stream.

Yeah that was a time where he was explaining a lot of things without many other high profile streamers online, still that was just an example
