It's more the manner in which he beats Leenock. He practically demolishes him in a 3-0 sweep. He was never really threatened in any of the games.

So, zergs used to go mutas in part to shut down terran drop play, but now that mutas are not able to do so...

Innovation's multitasking is flawless. I wouldn't be surprised if he made it to the semifinals (if he did, though, Flash would have to beat him).

For those that say dropping is so easy, just look at the games of Bomber vs Bly and compare them to Polt vs Creator and Innovation vs Leenock.
Bomber is a great macro beast, but his control can sometimes be off and on. His drops were kinda bad, constantly dying mid flight, or dropping into waiting zerglings.
Polt, Innovation and to a lesser extent, Flash, they keep track of multiple drops. Position themselves where zerglings can only have a small attack area behind mineral lines, and most importantly, pick-up when they're about to get overwhelmed. That's not minimal micro. That's no shift queue commands.
And to the joker who said, injects, overlord spread and managing lings is more micro intensive... well, even the top zergs admit that its a bit easier to control (NOT MASTER, CONTROL!) zerg. Hence foreigner zergs actually having a chance against top Koreans.

I'm surprised how much I prefer this format with MLG...getting to see every match.
Unfortunately, the games are horrific. Blizzard has a lot of work to do (how they have missed some of this until this point is beyond me).

Leenock just played badly that game. Terrible macro, refusing to build spores; just lackluster play overall. All it would take is two spores behind his natural to stop drops coming from behind there. There's NO reason not to do it.

That boost is like a recall. Even if you are attacking normally without dropping you can always load up and get out so fast. There is no more risk in attacking at all. Especially with nerfed fungal.
