hmm, people always said Snute and Vortix are patchzergs, todays results support that argument quite a lot^^

I think Snute just had bad timing in terms of becoming visible and then had a bad tournament today, but I'm not so sure about Vortix. He's never really impressed me all that much.

It's a weird thing to say he's a patchzerg as he is generally known for is ZvZ, without infestors. I think he has a very slow & methodical way of deciding his build orders and game plans, so he probably just needs some more time to practice HoTS.
Like Tinkerbelle, I leave behind a sparkly residue.

It's too soon to talk about balance, but nevertheless being force to go blindly into one particular tech path (roach, without being able to pressure with it) because of all the new threat does not make the game particulary interesting to be honest, if ling opening are no longer an option (or a very risky one) you limit the option which makes more boring game. That's why ZvP seems to be more fun right now, ling hydra/roach hydra/Mutalisk/swarmhost are all possible, and for protoss all tech route are viable so there is way more diversity.

But dear god, as a Zerg I'm so scared to see MechVP tomorrow. :D

Are you really expecting terrans to play mech in TvP ?

Wait till MKP show you MECHKINGPRIME.

Haha the guy can't even mech in TvZ :[

Well as MVP is the best Mech player in WoL and was already very successful with it against the best Zerg in the world, if he did practise HoTS it will be really scary tomorrow in TvZ . As for TvP meh I'll don't know, I really don't think it has been fully understood since there was almost 0 mech play in WoL TvP, Terran player are starting from scratch there. But if someone will show that mech is a viable/strong/(imba?) option in TvP, it will be MVP.

It has to be Mvp, but it won't be tommorow, and I would say not on this patch.

I was talking about MKP Mech HotS TvP.
He is playing it pretty good.

Why the hell would you post those spoilers (and not in a spoiler tag) when the games haven't been streamed yet? Vortix vs. Snute is the last series of the day. Spoiler your post x.x

If Socke wins 2-0 vs mana then mana can miss out on qualifying.

or If mana wins then Sting can qualify over Socke.

don't say a game is irrelevant without backing it up

Socke could even get first ine the group here, everything is still possible and this game is very relevant.
Maru and Serral are probably top 5.

As if the games will be streamed, they obviously ditched it because they're completely irrelevant. IEM doesn't do replay casts if you haven't noticed.

I agree the game is very relevant.

Can Socke still get 1st, I thought that if the score was tied they go

1) head to head

2) most wins

3) map score

in which case if socke and violet both go 4-1, violet takes 1st because he beat socke head to head
