I don't know about that. Though it does not discredit his achievements, he's gotten to play his best match-ups against (arguably) somewhat weaker opponents. I'm not saying he's not really good because he is, but he's not exactly setting any crazy records. If he wins this championship, I'll give him "Best Terran in the world" without arguing. Until then, potentially clawing your way into the round of 4 twice isn't my idea of "Cannot be overhyped"
Life did some crazy stuff before he got half the hype Innovation is getting now, and that bothers me too.

Haha well that did hurt Innovation, but A LOT of TvZ that I see on that map specifically turn out exactly like that. Terran tries to push and a counter to the third base always ruins their day. Also the difficulty to getting a 4th base seems so weird.

Everyone pretty much considered Life the best player in the world when he smashed Taeja 7-0 (3-0 of that in the GSL semis), way before he won Blizzard Cup or MLG.
We aren't saying Innovation is amazing because he has won a couple games, we are saying it because his play is amazing.

HyuN (Ex-teammate of Symbol) beat INnoVation in last season's semifinals 3-1. viOLet (Current teammate of Symbol) beat INnoVation 2-1 at IPL5. Something tells me Symbol has some good preparation for this match, yo.

Team Liquid.net: OMG SYMBOL SUCKS WTF Well he does go straight to BL/Infestor with mass spine usually, and in this game he is playing super greedy and going straight to ultra with no mid game army. It is stuff u can get away with when u only need queens to survive. Hence HOTS launch in 20 days!!!!! No mid game army? What do you call all those Lings and Banes before he had the Ultras?

He's setting a record in being the first player to get consecutive ro4s since MVP in late 2011.

Nice game plan from Symbol to hit with a lot of ultras really fast by skipping infestors and using the wide open area between the natural & third to break the terran. Sooooooooooooo happy they reverted the health bars to normal, was so hard to tell how much life the ultras had in game1 ;-;

Can't they just recycle the music play list from the open seasons?

I guess my definition of "record" is wrong, then.

Team Liquid.net: OMG SYMBOL SUCKS WTF Yeah I get very irritated in how some actually call him a patchzerg. :/ He sadly was not quite able to recover his peak level and was quickly overshadowed by a more impressive performance in the gsl via Life. Symbol's macro and lategame is fantastic though and he almost always plays towards it.
who would be bold enough to take it when its so easy to scout (bogus should have scouted since he himself had the thought to take it)

yeah...so hard for terran to take 2nd expansion against zerg in this elephant's homeland.
for ZvP, i think most of protoss' wins come from 2 base timing, since it is bitch to take 2nd expansion against zerg.
for PvT, ......................................................dafuq
