Korean Protosses refined their 3 base timings, and started doing these Immortal/Colossus/Sentry/Stalker 3 base death pushes, which became too difficult to hold. The response to that were these 2/2 upgraded Ling/Infestor/Corrupter builds, where you get the Spire earlier and because you save gas on Roaches, you can get more Infestors, and more Broodlords sooner. Lately we're beginning to see the response to that, with these Zealot/Archon heavy 3 base timings to counter the mass lings. The problem from the Zerg end, is that they have to kind of commit to one thing, either the Ling/Infestor, or Roach/Ling/Infestor, before they can know what the Protoss is doing, because the builds, timings and upgrades are different. | ||
