Thanks for the tournaments.
If it is possible please set unlimited selection OFF. I really really want to see how battles on SC2 engine with limited selection would look like.

I would also prefer to watch these sc2bw games if it was played with BW settings.

I agree. I think it would be better to enforce mandatory BW settings for all games. That way, it will be uniform and fair for the competitors (not to mention it makes for better gameplay).

Let's not change the rules for Launch tournament already announced please Anything can be amended in future if most of players desire to.

I will not repeat this explanation nor continue settings discussion after this comment. The major ideas behind the settings being set as they are:
1. Not to scare any potential participants away. If SC2BW is to have a chance in the long run, attracting SC2 users as well as the hardcore BW players is a must. I'm sorry if this will force you to endure 1 or 2 games on SC2 settings against someone who has never played BW before -- life can really be unfair sometimes. Non-BW players trying the mod out in the earlier stages of the sc2bw tournament series is at the moment enough of a positive for me that it weighs out your temporary suffering.
2. If it turns out only current and former BW players are willing to participate in the tournaments I will amend the rules to reflect this fact. But first I want to give it a couple tournaments (and a few casted VODs after these tournaments) to see whether SC2BW can catch on amongst SC2 players.
3. The implementation of limited selection is not optimal. The check for whether a player has selected too many units has to be done against the bnet servers. This introduces latency before units are de-selected. Players with higher ping will find it more bothersome than players with lower ping. Hopefully with enough popularity there will be a way of influencing Blizzard in regards to this issue.
Whether I'm intruding on the perceived fairness of the tournaments or not -- this was my reasoning and it still holds. We will see after a few tours if the settings can/should be changed.

It would be cool to see some former BW guys who are current SC2 pros play in this. Like nony, Incontrol, idra, etc. I will watch this regardless.

Anyone that would like to cast (or even stream their play) on saturday, feel free to take this Off-Game Overlay
