Why there is so many BYE in brackets?

because there aren't that many people playing... What's 22x16? Way more pros than there are competing for a spot in the GSL...
I always wondered why more fans and randoms don't show up to play. Sure, you'll probably get smashed, but it's not like you have to pay anything (right?), and they would get to see a lot of pro players and maybe play one...

Because you need to be a master league player with X amount of ladder points to play I think...

Meanwhile ClassicPrime and Woongjin_ZerO walkover to the semifinals of their bracket.

The rule doesn't apply to foreigners. Some bronze league female foreigner played a couple of seasons ago.

Maybe they need to pay some fee, I'm not sure. If I were in Korea, I definitely will go to play with some prepared all-in strategies :D

If I'm ever in Korea again during Code B I'd definitely play and try to cheese a few big names out lol

Well, not a lot of foreigners want to pay thousands of dollars to fly to Korea just to get smashed in the Code A Preliminaries... IMO at least.

Masters league players with over 300 points get "priority" (and possibly seeds, if you look closely the qualifiers do use seeding) but the qualifiers have never been even close to full so that doesn't matter. After them, GOM says anyone can sign up, foreigner or not.

Just out of curiosity, which ZerO is in Tfunk's bracket?

Startale Zero, just won IPL6 Amateur Qualifier.

hard to believe zero is an "amateur" 17k games @_@

http://kr.battle.net/sc2/ko/profile/3044987/1/STZerO/

It's not 17k normal games, it's 17k games of 6 pooling, baneling busting, nydus rushing, roach busting etc etc

Next wave of roaches with burrow movement is too much for ThorZaiN to hold. Really nice micro from ZerO. ThorZaiN 0-1.
