Even without Parting, they have the defending OSL champion Rain, Fantasy and a very solid group of backing players like soO. SKT is a very stacked team, and once they get PartinG in PL, it will be incredibly powerful (though depending on team synergy it does not necessarily translate into more wins.
I'm gonna go against the flow and call it. Team 8 will win! I dunno how but predicting a close series, 4-3. Would be funny if this comes true lol. Go Team 8!
I would feel incredibly stupid as baby if the overlord scouted it. All this time to prepare when you know the map and matchup you should know the standard overlord movement pattern as it's pretty crucial to your plan lol

Was bad control of Ravens in mid game too, he lost 2 ravens to the roach hydra army pre Blords when he was pushing across the map which i thought was pretty bad "/

To be honest, I'd prefer a sleep-deprived, drunk and unprepared TotalBiscuit / MrBitter / Rotterdam / Gretorp / anyone else casting from the US. But that's just me, maybe I'll warm to him... Meh.

To be honest, I'd prefer a sleep-deprived, drunk and unprepared TotalBiscuit / MrBitter / Rotterdam / Gretorp / anyone else casting from the US. But that's just me, maybe I'll warm to him... Meh.
If they would have wanted them or casters not located in Korea, they would've extended their "testing period" or whatever it was, when SPL started. They had one week of broadcasting rights.
I just wish SpoTV would offer Korean cast similar to OGN's. I don't like the stream we have available now if you want to tune in for the Korean cast.

Well, he was way behind after his banshees did nothing and he was forced to lift the 3rd while s2 got his 4th. The pre broodlord timing is already narrow and with that gas delay, it became non existent.

This is a really fun game. Ballsy Nydus play into an even ballsier defense. I can't see s2 winning this now. Terminator has his expo up while s2 is trapped on one base, constantly besieged from the air.

If a baneling is killed it still explodes doing damage. So if a baneling is tailing half a second behind a train a probes it can still potentially kill/damage them when the void ray or zealot or whatever kills it due to the splash radius. Because of this, you can actually just manually detonate your baneling when it is following something but not quite catching up to get it to deal some damage at least.
Would have been nifty to see him do that and kill another 2 probes or something, as there was only like 10 or so left at the end? Killing another 2 is a pretty big loss to that.

Yeah I think that would have been a much better idea. At first I was like "wtf? no speed?". Every probe definitely would have died had he had speed. Even if the attack was 10 seconds later because of it.

There really isnt a big reason, he was just trying to make sure everything was in the bag.
Good EMPs and bad engagements could have cost him the game regardless of whether or not he had a supply lead. So i guess he was just being careful.

I said this when SKT lost yesterday and I will say this again - no playoffs for SKT unless they get big name player and they did get Parting. Now they have to wait when he can be activated to save them from disaster. Also Boxer needs to realise that he can't win with fielding same players all the time.

Hm, in Colossus wars at least the player with the better positioning and army composition wins. Phoenix wars are depending a lot more on luck since you can't really scout.
In this game both players took a guess on what their opponents did and Rain did guess wrong.

Guys, Rain had this game, all he needed was to forcefield the ramp. He had the gas for more sentries. Then he would fly to Jaehoon's mineral line and kill everythnig. But his forcefield was a few pixels off.

Jaehoon doing great things for T8 and my FPL. I'm so happy for him. To be fair, he did look quite strong near the end of BW's lifetime, and it's cool seeing him doing decently in SC2.

With the colossi you can defend the main and the nat, a few units and cannons at third --> what you are gonna do as zerg? After the fail opening it is hard enough to stop the deathball later (he got decent fungals off and even a good surround when p walked down the ramp, lack of moar roachers killed him i guess).
SPL is a strange league. In GSL I can at least somewhat predict what will happen and which player will win but here it's just madness, they're all awesome one day and incredibly sloppy the other day, it's like the shape of EGTL is the epitome of Proleague itself.

get 20 corrupters. sure thats 40food then 80drones, thats 120food then 6 infestors, 132food that leaves you 68food for 136 zerglings
zerglings actually will trade pretty well against protoss forces that have no collossi. bring in the 25 corrupters, kill all the collossi, then swarm in with the lings and keep remaxing on ling/roach while the protoss has no collossi
corrupters have 200health and high armor. takes ages for stalkers to kill them well. a few corrupters die and all the collossi die. then the lings swarm in combined with 7-8 casts of fungal growths from the 6 infestors
wouldnt this just demolish all these 18 minute zero-storm collossi pushes tosses are doing. you beat the pre broodlord push and its over
basically my train of thought is, less infestors, but 20+ corrupters to decimate the collossi
would fail terribly to a archon-aoe-based force however

Jaehoon is on my anti team lol The problem with SKT is that only one of their 3 best players are doing well per match. I mean, when Fantasy kill 2 or 3, Rain and sOO play poorly, when sOO get his kills, fantasy and rain lose their matches... Bisu get back on form plzzz, the other dragons are rising again, it is your time to get back. SKT needs you Bisu!

They got Speed,Terminator,Baby and Jaehoon. And they are doing really well overall frankly speaking.
Everybody before Proleague started was already predicting them to be the new Airforce Ace. Guess we were somewhat wrong.
They started improving since the middle of hybrid Proleague, they got to playoffs at the end and they still continue strong rising trend. Also they have the secret training card which is SC2 experienced Major. He doesn't play in official matches yet but he can very well be contributing to T8's Terran matchups now.

Well there was Kwanro and every other Zerg SKT ever bought. The protoss flourished though, Bisu, Rain/Sun and Coach Park all came from MBChero(RIP). Fantasy is homegrown though.

As someone with both Fantasy and Jaehoon on my team--I call this a blessing
Jaehoons preparation and execution on that last map was astonishing.

I thought this was amusing: let's say you score a prediction for a ranking as the sum of the differences between your guess and reality per team, with a perfect score being 0, then the averaged out score for a randomized player would be lower (i.e. better) than TL's prediction. It's not completely the same, but basically, if you would predict randomly then you likely would have done better than the elite team at TL headquarters. It reminds me of those GSL seasons where Fionn would consistently predict below 50%, which is quite a feat in itself. ^_^
Look at Jaehoon, slays a good zerg's 10 pool on Neo Caldeum with a creative opening. He sure prepared very well for this map. Looking back, if JYP really prepared better, he should have a chance against Hydra on this map.

Jaehoon had a lot more time to prepare and look at other matches. JYP had to play on the first day the maps were changed. So I don't think it is a fair comparison.
I am pretty sure a lot of Ps went back to study that game to prepare.
