The newcommrs firmly in 6th spot out of 8 teams? Yeah, PL is legit. I laugh so much at the predictions that EGTL would be by far the strongest team in PL. Oh, and especially in Winners league.

There's a LOT of proleague left.

But at the same time, the KeSPA players should still be developping much faster than the guys who have already played this game for so long and are more or less at their peak. EGTL has Jaedong though who sometimes shows great potential.

At least we will have excuse that its foreigners fault. Cause now we have none... EG-TL is BY FAR the most Starcraft 2 experienced (time-wise) team in ProLeague. If that's doesn't help them in the begining of SPL then I'm really worried about the next rounds. ![]()

You would think EG-TL would do much better with their enormous amount of starpower (Stephano,Jaedong,HerO,Taeja) Can't believe they were actually power ranked 1st in the pre-tournament writeup by TL. I think EG-TL isn't taking this tournament as serious as the other Kespa teams. Even Team 8 is doing better than them overall and people were predicting them to be the new AirForceAce.lol This just means that if EG-TL continue to play like Half+6. They won't stand a chance.

I think this settles the matter, good matches in R1 were just a fluke, EGTL in reality is really weak and will feed other teams. I don't think it settles any matter. The EGTL squad is not "really weak" at all. That's your opinion and if you list that squad against a fair amount of the Kespa teams you cannot say that in comparison it is really weak. The problem is getting the best players from the squad into the actual team that takes on Kespa. I don't think that so far the strongest available EGTL team has been put out together at all, not even close.

Considering how long a lot of the KeSPA players have been playing under their strict practice regime in OSL/MSL/PL and the works. They're used to working hard and have incredible focus when the task at hand looks very mundane when it comes to cookie cutter builds. So having the most Starcraft 2 experience will only get you so far and it's only a matter of time before the other guys catch-up. With that said, just like Stars, EG-TL has taken it to the Ace match on several occasions so I wouldn't be waving the white flag yet. There will be growing pains for them and not everyone will be able to adapt.
