The Cinderella story of this second chapter keeps on dreaming of Paris. If a lot of StarCraft II fans thought midnight had come when he had to face Mvp in the round of 16. Mvp’s condition is always a question mark and although he did not play bad, it was not a stellar showing from the king of Terrans. Goswser has now defeated two GSL champions and yet another one stands in his way. If MMA and Mvp are currently not in their prime, that can’t be said about Life who has been killing everybody lately. As good as Goswser is, Life is an overwhelming favorite for this match, and the American will have to find something to stop time to avoid turning into a pumpkin.

LG-IM.NesTea VS. Acer.Scarlett

By defeating PartinG in an epic series, NesTea showed how bad he wants to come back to Paris. On her side, Scarlett showed a brilliant display of ZvZ skills which could be enough to threaten the great NesTea. Although he is not the unbeatable ZvZ god he used to be anymore, NesTea is still very tough to beat in the match up. It would be a real upset to see the Canadian take the Zerg legend down. NesTea is the last chance to have one of the final four back in Paris, and with a ZvZ to decide his fate, the situation could have been worse for the LG-IM player.

MarineKingPrime VS. SK.MC

There can only be one non Zerg in Paris, and it will be decided between two good friends, MarineKing and MC. The boss impressed by managing to defeat violet and is expecting to have a hard time facing the Terran. As he stated in his GSL interview earlier this week, MKP is on fire and pretty scary. After beating HerO in the Ro16, it is looking good for the Terran, it would be his second time in Paris after his 3rd place at ESWC 2011.

EG.Stephano VS. MvP.DongRaeGu

Third foreigner to try his luck to get his ticket to Paris, Stephano will have quite a heavy pressure on his shoulders since the crowd will be waiting for him. Unfortunately for the Frenchman, he has to play a ZvZ. This match-up is the kryptonite of the Zerg as he never seemed to have it really figured it out. There is hope for Stephano though, the two time he played DRG, he beat him. The motivation should also be higher for the EG player but it might not be enough to defeat DRG. Although ZvZ is not his favorite thing, the Korean remains a solid player and comes into the series with the status of favorite.
