People see it "dying" due to lower stream numbers or something. Proleague is first breathe of fresh air for a lot of starcraft 2 watchers in a long time.

I agree with time slot (I think europeans would disagree) but SPL still has Ohana and TDA....
GSTL has better casters (Wolf and Khaldor are the most improved casters of 2012 imo) and for the most part, better players at this point in time.
I enjoy proleague more because its fun to play Fantasy. All-Kill format or not doesnt affect me because seeing an all-kill or reverse all kill is freaking sweet but now that GSTL is going to be an actual season, I think they are on even footing (slightly biased as my favorite team is an eSF team though)

Considering MBC used to be the other broadcaster for PL yup. It could work but first you have to put the egos aside.

Thats actually how the Super bowl was started. AFL vs. NFL for the Super Bowl and then they merged into the NFL later.

Yes, I can see that point, but to my knowledge (from 2009 onwards) proleague has been never more than 10 teams, maybe 12 at one point. I also say LG-IM since to join Proleague you need to laydown some dollar bills, and they have a big sponsor, also they have a deep enough line up that they won't be tiring out so much there players.
It's still hard for me to see the GSTL and Proleague work together at the same time to make only one mega league, and I'm scared if we have 2 team leagues + 2 individual leagues + Foreign leagues and events players will be to tired, heck even just in Korea players will be tired with 2 team leagues + 2 individual leagues.
And I can't really say have a contender league and a champion league;since, GSL and Kespa would never want that. Perhaps some type of deal that the winner of each league can play in both, and the other teams are randomly located in each league would make it interesting and fair and allow cross play between teams, I can't see ESF teams having the money to play in Proleague.

I don't think the season should be too too long, otherwise with so many teams we may end up in a situation where some teams are already 100% eliminated with 6-9+ months left to go in the proleague season, it ruins the intensity and their team morale.

I don't think splitting it up into a lower and upper division is a good idea, all that does is make people less interested in the lower matches. Just like less people watch contender division in IPTL compared to premier division, plus the teams are close enough in skill that there isn't a real need to create a lower division.

Ah, such fun on Arkanoid! I can't say I expected battlecruisers, but it was a blast to watch. I need more, such great matches given by proleague, I haven't been this excited to watch since the first GSL I paid for.

seriously ppl needs to expand beyond 3 bases on this map. The opponent is either too too focused on breaking the main gate or not keeping the whole huge map in check

Also what part of that game wasn't Code S level? They both macro'd very well, good army movement and unit control mind games and great decision making etc. I'd say that was pretty damn close to Code S level.

It's to be expected, the ESF guys have a lot more games under their belt. There's a higher level of refinement there that's absent from the play of the Kespa players, though some of them are catching up pretty quickly and a few are already elite SC2 players.

well a few things would be:
Both players were fairly blind going into the mid game compositions, but they seemed to guess each others styles ? The air mech thing was strange but cool
Lasts play was definitely worse than Babys. Last had 3 base for so long never tried to expand, never was active with hellions evne though they werent needed so much on the front lines a majority of the time. He also took ridiculous amounts of damage from bio harass at his 3rd. Never really got a great unit mix on top.
Not going to nitpick everything but there are definitely a decent amount of weak parts you wouldnt see in a Code S TvT in GSL, at least not in their mid-lategame play.
Again, not saying the games are bad or boring. I actually really enjoy watching it and its a fun map. Just kind of hard to be amazed at the play right now bc its just not that top level so far.

Lol. I'm sure they'll become more consistent down the road. For me, the biggest disappointment has been EG-TL. I expected them to be at the top with their more experienced roster.

They are experienced in the game, but not in the Proleague format (except Jaedong and/or Puma).

To be fair to Cure. The match up plays out like that. T has to try to harass early/mid game. If they get shutdown with their harass, they need a really great engagement late game where they can kill/nullify the AoE units of the P fairly quickly (vikings on colo and EMP/snipe on templars).

...Last is an excellent TvT'er and probably beats Bogus in practice seeing as he got the nod today. If you can beat Flash in a Bo5 your TvT's definitely ace match worthy. It also makes sense because he only had 1 matchup to practice this week instead of giving Bogus two (Team 8 was always gonna send Baby).

Maybe Jaehoon is finding SC2 easier to deal with from an expectations and nerves standpoint. Good to see him sealing deals.
Sad about Classic though. He's just like Jaehoon. His raw ability is insane but his performance is all about whether or not he feels confident that day. I remember one game where he almost lost in the dumbest way and then regained confidence halfway through the game and ran over his opponent without losing a single marine or something absurd like that.

Geesh Sawa, did you not watch Proleague before SC2? He's been improving every year since Pusan became an MBC coach in 2010. I've been saying this for the past 3 seasons already. Jaehoon overcame his mental stress issues some time ago.
Last season he went 12-10 and that was as captain of Team 8. This year he doesn't have the burden of being captain so I expect him to do slightly better than that.
Where do they keep the english vods for these on twitch? Do they put all the different team matches on the same page or a new page for each day? Got it just needed video tab kind of stupid mistake,.
