I think the percentage of damage you do to the eggs is transfered to the hatched infested terran. It's not like brood lords where they always spawn with full health.

It's true. With the change to the egg health, if you fungal the eggs, they take 30 damage, so the Infested Terrrans hatch with around 29 health. Before with the 100-health eggs the ITs would hatch with 35 health. Not a big difference in health, but since the ITs now come out with less than 30 health if the eggs take the full brunt of a fungal, a second fungal kills them.
i always thought the eggs were like buildings and immune to fungal... i always remember seeing STORMS on eggs do zero damage to the eggs

i swear this must be a recent change i remember seeing tons of PvZ's where storms on eggs would do nothing
seriously i swear to god i remember watching MC vs Nerchio and the storms did zero damage to IT eggs

storms have always done damage to eggs - now it's just worth doing because of the IT health nerf
