I'll now attempt to undo my voodoo by recapping in first person present tense for the win. IEM Singapore Finals Game One: Day Break Grubby spawns bottom left: Sting in the top right. Sting opens gasless fast expand, Grubby scouts it and puts down his own expansion. Each player continues passively, Sting putting a bunker in front of his expand, Grubby scouts it with a stalker. Grubby gets double forge and colossus as Sting begins medivac production. Each player still on two bases. At the 11:30 mark Sting is at a 40 supply advantagwe as he pushes out against Grubby. Sting sees colossi and builds a second stargate. Grubby finishing his 2/2 upgrades and blink at 13:00. Sting drops Grubby's base and takes down Grubby's robotics bay. At 14:00 Supplies are 130 for Grubby, 170 for Sting mostly as a result of macro. Sting now has a third base while Grubby has so far failed to establish his own. Sting goes for an attack just as storm and 3/3 finiush, Sting does force the cancel on grubby's nexus, but Grubby is now catching up in supply to the maxed terran. Sting forces the cancel on Grubby's 3rd yet again, but grubby tries once more to put it up while pushing out with his maxed army with MANY zealots. the armies meet at Sting's PF at his 4th on his side of the center of the map. The battle is fairly even, ending a little below 100 supply for each player,. but the planetary holds and Sting forces Grubby back and with his superior economy Sting quickly climbs again in supply and when Sting pushes again Grubby is unable to hold and Sting takes the first game of the finals. | ||

He had a decent amount he just sacced them to hold Grubbys big push. Might have won him the game. Such good control in that battle though...so jealous @_@ | ||
