Illusion opened up with a marauder+conc shells off of 1 tax , with Creator starting up with Gate->Core into expansion. Illusion suicided an SCV up into Creator's natural, scouting the expansion but deciding to fall back, simultaneously starting his own expansion. Creator moved onto Robotics while Illusion began researching stim and +1 weapons and continuing marauder production. Creator's Robo bay went down around 7.30 alongside his double forge. While Illusion began knocking down the rocks to Creator's natural, Creator's first Colossus arrived. Illusion sprinted up both ramps, knocking down a few gateway units but losing a bunch of his own, as well. At 11:30, Creator's third goes down (around the same time as Illusion's) while also throwing down a Templar archives and getting charge / +2 weapons and armor. Illusion's medivacs had arrived and he marched across the map with a force consisting of mostly marauders and a slightly alarming lack of vikings. Illusion tentatively walked up Creators ramp into his nat, but backed off as Creator's nicely upgraded Colossus/Archon/templar/chargelot ball, moving in right before his 3/3 finishing. Illusion gets a great engagement with a nice concave, but the upgrades of Creator combined with a lack of medivacs and Archons shredding his SCVs forces Illusion to tap out, giving Creator a 1-0 lead in the series. | ||
