Scarlett decided that she did not want to try another hatch first against Parting, and opted to go for a 10pool. However, Parting also switched things up by going gateway -> core first. Scarlett sent out 6 zerglings but went back to droning after. Scarlett managed to snipe one probe with her zerglings, but some nice worker/zealot micro allowed Parting to clear up the rest without taking more damage. Out on the map, Parting sniped an overlord to briefly supply block Scarlett, who had just taken her natural expansion, with Parting going for a somewhat delayed Nexus going down around 35 supply, while staying active with her sole stalker out on the map. At this point, Scarlett put down her third with Parting going for more gateways, going up to 5. Parting ventured out onto the map with a few sentries and a stalker with a probe throwing down a pylon. Scarlett's Roach Warren was very late, leaving her to defend her bases with only lings and queens. Parting walked up into the natural, finding the defenses surprisingly lacking, and just killed Scarlett, taking a clean 3-0 win and advancing to the Round of 8 | ||
