"So where can I see world champion Parting now?" "Oh sorry, he got destroyed by two Koreans in the Ro16 of Code S, got destroyed by Rain in the OSL, and didn't qualify for IPL5." "Oh."

Yeah, no. Sorry. Blizzard gives them $1000 every time they say this tournament determines who is the best player ever in the whole universe

Last year there were two streams I believe. And still there were a lot of downtime and wierd choices regarding wich games to show on stream. Lots of zvz(ok imo, but i know a lot of people dislike zvz).

The question is, whether it is easier to become a good SC2 player, due having the tactical and strategical strengh, you gain through being a top chess player.

"Best player in the world" -> no, best player in his matches (not even the tournament since its knockout) "For one weekend $100000" -> right, all the practise that lead up to this point doesnt count ... maybe its just the pvp thats bothering me though :o

PartinG tried to go for a proxy robo strategy, but Creator wisely scouted out proxy locations to discover the robotics bay before it was complete. Both players expanded after, with Creator in the lead. Creator used his slight advantage to find the buffer room for a two immortal-prism, which tied up PartinG as Creator took a third. PartinG was put in an annoying spot, having to contend with a prism and his opponent's third base. He ended up trying to go for a big attack, which was a huge mistake as the immortal drop destroyed his probes at home, and Creator successfully defended at home. Creator vs PartinG - Game Two - Entombed Valley Creator went for a stargate build while PartinG went for a very fast blink-stalker rush. Despite having sentries out, Creator couldn't put his force-fields down in time. PartinG chain blinked into Creator's main for an easy win.

To be fair being the best in the world changes every day so why not let parting have one day.
