I understand that blizzard changed it to create an incentive for protoss to go double forge builds. Its like a educational thing: "Hey, try heavy upgrades, with chrono its pretty damn good!". Now that its mainstream there is no reason for the upgrades to actually be cheaper. Protoss is supposed to be a cost efficient race unit per unit. Not that they actually are but cheaper upgrades certainly help. Protoss low tier units are, to put it bluntly, bad. You need AoE to survive against terran. These higher tier units are expensive as shit. You can't have protoss chosing between AoE and upgrades because you know what would happen? Everybody would tech to storm because it provides AoE and doesn't care about upgrades. Anything else would fall apart easily so terran could just go 2 base ghosts every game and win. | ||

Then again, they seem to be busy not reaching the Ro16, so this could change things. I didn't write it because it doesn't even really matter. Point is even in a worst case scenario terran will have a good representation next season with the most likely situation being them having the most. It was also only a minor point in my post which was that terran have done fine this season. When things become really imbalanced i will be the first in line to point it out. The current GSL isn't showing that imo. If anything the results today are more interesting from a kespa vs GSL standpoint. | ||
