Not true in this case, they just straight up play worse. Rain did not play impressive that series at all. Byun just played way below his typical TvP level. These games said little about Rains mechanics at all. If anything losing those 3 sentries and dealing with a drop like a plat player would in game 1 shows that he really is not all that people hype him up to be.

I'd agree on this statement in general, but not in this game. Byun had game 1 100% won when he killed the archive and then Rain sent all his stalkers to kill the drop, leaving his colossi defended by 3 sentries. But Byun retreated, wtf. He poke non stop, and when he has a big opening, he backs. Game 2...I prefer forgetting it.

The one utterly crushed and defeated by Creator? The one who looked competent against Vampire and Killer? Will it even matter, will Genius realize that HotS beta is up and this is the swan song of the Carrier? Happy definitely looking cuter in his Gom photos. Must be a good sign.

Rains drop defence was quite bad, that drop in game one went unscouted for way too long. He also A moved into a defended choke point when there was no reason to do so, even letting his colossi attack a command centre instead of units. Game two was simply a free win after the barracks was scouted. Sure, he's a good player. But overall, he looks like he's a lower level Code S player at best. At least from that series, however, I've heard his PvZ is quite amazing
