Sometimes people are really stupid o.O or you're slightly more delusional. have you not followed anything thats going on? they've only been playing for months now against people who the metagame is based around http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/2012_StarCraft_II_World_Championship_Series/Asia/Nationals/South_Korea you can cry yourself to sleep when things are proven once again when we see who advances in round of 16 And what would be a victory for ESF fans? Splitting 50/50 with KeSPA players would just be more evidence proving the elephant right. splitting 50? there are total of 8 kespa players that managed to play in the tourney out of 32 spots, and 6 of them are invites. That means a heck bunch of kespa pros didn't even make it through the qualifiers. And even the top cream of the kespa players can even only take 3 out of 8 spots from top 8 while rest disappears in the middle, and there's not going to be a 50/50 split by the time ro16 finishes, even in OSL Exactly. People forget about the qualifiers. They just focus on the final 32/16 groups. Of course the best will rise up. But to say Kespa > ESF based on a 50/50 split of a round 32/16 is a joke and poor argument. This thinking has pissed me off and I'm now throwing my support to ESF players. I was rooting for the BW pros to do something strong but now this rampant hypocritical BW fan base has destroyed my confidence in a civil transition. Yes, a lot of Kespa pros failed to qualify. But a lot of ESF players failed to qualify too. The difference? ESF players need not practice BW. They have been practicing only SC2 and for a much longer time than Kespa pros. Furthermore, given the improvement we witnessed in WCS KR itself, it is worth noting that the qualifiers happened at a time when Kespa pros had little official SC2 practice time. I'm not saying that Kespa is dominating. But to me it looks like there's something to be said about the performance of the Kespa players. I was talking about OSL. Comparing WCS qualifiers to the actual WCS to OSL ro16 (if KeSPA does well), the trend is quite clear: KeSPA players are getting closer and closer to the level of ESF players. If ESF splits 50% of their matches in the OSL ro16 that isn't a victory in the slightest. My bad, I noticed the WCS Korea link and focused on that I guess. And yes, I agree. | ||
