GOM players must be realizing now how terrible the existing scene really is. KeSPA is stirring the pot really well!

Because to be fair a lot of the protoss they face are fucking terrible at defending drops and will often outright die to them. The Kespa toss tend to be very good at drop defense and will sacrifice robo time to pumping out more obs so that they can see everything.

Where is MMA when you need him?

Hopefully his extra M will keep him going.

You don't want to see MMA playing a TvP. He can't even TvP to save his life, he never could do it. And at this current state of TvP, well...

which terran is actually good at TvP?

These games just looked sub par for the ESF guys. Marineking leaving units in storms? MVP going for 3CC without scouting? What the fuck was going through their heads. They both lost vikings WAY too easily to the storms, they both went for risky strats...like seriously?

I feel that there is something a miss....maybe it's that ESF players are playing to their current meta's, whereas Kespa players just don't play the same way....maybe it's that the Kespa players are really that good (but nothing outstanding in todays play at least) or maybe ESF decided to give the first round of the kespa players in order to stoke the fires of the Kespa vs ESF
fan fight.

I'll be honest, neither MKP or MVP played half as good as they usually do.

Props to the Kespa guys though, I'm 99.9% sure that theres no dodgy business, but they won with rather unspectacular play...

This is a running trend from WCS.

nooooo MVP :<

Was really rooting for you to go far. Hopefully this is just a minor setback. Not to sure how this league format works.

Still though, Toss is strong now.O_O Is this becoming a balance issue?

Did people complain during the era of the Toss Dragons in BW?

MVP looked pretty ok actually.
He went for a greedy build and got punished badly.
Had very little chance from then on.
Wonder how would it look in a BO3.

He recovered fine from the initial attack, just got out macroed in upgrades and lost way too many SCV's at his 3rd throughout the game.

Frustration I think... very rare to see MVP try something like that.

He knew he was really behind, had to try something funky to try to force himself back into the game. It was an ultra long shot but a 1/1000 chance is better than 1/100000 chance.

Especially when the camera shows his mouth open and closes, several times during the game.

LIVE REPORT UPDATE: Get Storms and win your games with smart-casting and get 20 DPS every 2 seconds with nice 50/150 and 2 supply unit. Literally a fucking joke, insane that the ability is not nerfed to shit. I'm going to neck myself out of this disappointment. inb4 b&. #RIPSC2

Well it's true in tvp for the most part. I've never seen him play a great bio late with great ghost usage etc, He often just gets wrecked by storm/chargelots. But in this game his upgrades were awful as well.

Pffff this is embarrasing

And fucking infuriating for any GSL fan, ESF players need to start practicing for real

Doesn't help the ESF guys that they are flying out of the country to play a 3 day tournament just to get back to Korea and play official games (GSL, OSL etc) in the range of 24 hours while KeSPA teams are really hot on preperation and work ethic. This if anything will be their fall in the end.

Well, ESF players have to make a living too. They aren't backed by big sponsors like the Kespa players.
