I'd rather see a round-robin BO5's with no need for 2x elim I would argue DreamHack has a worse Day 1. Yeah, but dreamhack makes up for it with free 720p and great production MLG's production is superior to DreamHack's, with the exception of the last few hours of the tournament. I totally disagree, at one point MLG was the shittiest tournament to ever be organized on the face of the planet and crappy production was the main cause for it Haha... remember MLG Dallas 2010? Oh man I was there during that debacle. I thought Sunny was going to explode with rage backstage.

MLG might aswell be honest and make ik pay per view again. They are crapping all over e-sports like this. even if the others were free, i would watch IdrA

This is going to be the first time they meet

Agreed 100%. It's pretty tacky to lie to your face and not even pretend to hide it.

He went mass blue flame hellion into bio tank. Not the best decision. He also went Hellion Marauder 2 base timing in the first game which isn't that effective anymore.

Crank vs Taeja game 2
00:00 Entombed Valley, Crank spawning bottom left, Taeja spawning top right
01:45 Teaja builds sneaky barrack by his rocks to confuse Crank, but Crank scouts top left first
03:00 Crank did same build as last game, two gas with two workers on each, Crank gets into Teaja's base but probe dies, Taeja expands after one barrack
04:00 Taeja blocks natural with ebay, it almost finishes, no zealot for Crank
05:00 Three marines take the banana hallway down to apply some pressure and scout
05:45 Crank goes up to five gates, no expansion, marines at Crank's natural may have seen no nexus, not sure, Taeja builds second bunker at ramp
07:00 Taeja's marine in the middle sees sentries coming, Taeja reinforcing ramp with missile turret and depots
07:30 Crank's attack starts, forcefields on bunkers, no repair
08:10 Taeja lost one bunker but pushed Crank back
09:00 Crank still all in, Taeja starts teching up, has four bunkers now
09:30 Crank can't push through, GGs
Crank - Taeja now 1-1

They usually have great players attending though, which kind of makes up for the rest. have you ever watched a PPV MLG arena? the quality of those is worlds above Dreamhack or any other tourny. MLG is the trend setter for production quality

Remember when Major was going to be the next terran bonjwa? Weird because Greg backed him up on it and said it was a pity no one globally knew about it. wait greg agreed that he was the best in the world? that proves everything, im a faster swimmer than Phelps go watch king of the beta
idra was arguably the best before release, im not a fanboy, and think he has fell quite far. BUT he was king at one point, everybody was scared of him nobody ever won an MIT laptop from EG's tournament to this day ( is now a teamleague, it was a solo league before that and greg was the end boss, never lost) would be nice to see that idra again, but i think its long past, glad for his performances today though TesteR says hi. Also Genius, TOP, RainbOw, FruitDealer. Hell even White-Ra beat IdrA convincingly back then. I think IdrA can 2-0 IceCream if it goes to late game though. He's definitely not looking very strong in TvZ (IceCream that is) He beat Tester in the finals of King of the beta (and Tester was considered to be the best korean at the time). The others you mentioned except fruitdealer made their names after release. Whether you are an Idra hater or not, it is a fact that Idra was considered by many, including Koreans, to be the best player in the world from the beta until a few months after release. There's actually nothing to argue about because it's true. woot somebody else who actually remembers I do remember. That was one tournament. There are others where he lost to TesteR and White-Ra quite convincingly. And I disagree with the fact that they made their names after release. You clearly didn't watch enough starcraft 2 mister hitpoint, TOP, TheStC, Cella, Genius, TheWinD were some of the best players in the world at that time. They weren't considered the very best though. If you said Maka I'd agree, but you didn't. Tester was the other guy that people made arguments for being the best, and Idra got the better of whitera overall, he wasn't considered better. King of the Beta was just one tournament, but it was the biggest and best tournament at the time. Winning that was easily enough to make an argument for best in the world, and it did. he also has never let a peson win the laptop that was the prize for 'beating the gracken' in EG's solo league which i mentioned, which was 'many' tournaments. i just dont know why peopel shit on his past, its like hitting a guy while he is down
I'm not shitting on his past, like I said he was a top contender, he just didn't "rape" or "dominate" the beta as you seem to suggest. Also I don't know what you're talking about when you say EG solo league; in fact I have never even heard of that solo league (do note I followed SC a lot even then) and it doesn't show up in his TLPD or Liquipedia achievements. Care to provide a link maybe?

Does anyone else get the opinion that we're being oversaturated with MLGs this year?
With so many going on, each one is less exciting. I enjoyed them more when they felt like a big deal.
I'm also not thrilled with the casting at this one. TB, in particular, offers no good insight into the game. If he isn't going to give good insight, he should at least provide the color that he used to. Everything about this seems dull.

To be fair it did save him being utterly dominated by Scarlett.
